I just can't help myself, not when vintage Losi' are going at such low prices-Yet another eBay score.
This time a very clean JRX2,complete with radio for a whopping US$30.
It'll clean up REAL nice...The part I love is that body-From what I can see it has one crack and is painted red :D All ready for me to get some custom decals made for a box art body!
Crikey-I've bought two JRX2's,a JRX Pro and that JRX/RC10 "thing" in two weeks...What a worry.
Check her out,in all of it's 5-Link glory!

Congrats on getting a 5 link, know you have been looking. What speed control does it have?

Passed on that one as I am not buying another 2 with a drilled chassis plate. But for $30 it was a good deal.

I HAVE been craving a 5-Link!
That is the whole reason (almost) I love those ol' JRX2's.
I have two 5-Link cars,now and a JRX Pro.
The car below should arrive,tomorrow...I prepped my beater JRX2's chassis to replace that RC10 chassis. What a waste of a nice graphite RC10 chassis...

Looks like a Futaba MC110 ESC,I'm unsure,the seller didn't say.

DOCJ-What do you mean by a 'drilled chassis'?
Drilled for the 5-Link?

It was good at US$30....+ US$55 frieght...NZ$150!
NOT so much of a bargain...But it IS all there and the body only has one itty bitty crack.
At least I can sell the Traxxas radio gear and maybe the ESC,too...If it actually works.
Just stocked up on red 'Logo' rear Pro wheels,'imashopaholic' on eBay has stock-Cheap.

there isn't that many extra holes. hell, the 2 for the servo losi should've put there to begin with. did you ever lose a race driving a losi because your servo let go since it was only attached with servo tape? i did...... once. 2 holes and a pair of servo mounts later, it never happened again.

I actually ran tape for years and NEVER had one come loose. Hell, when I had to reposition a few I couldn't even get them off at times. Wish I had Goof Off back then, would have been easier.

Damn, you paid that much to ship it?! Wow, next time save up and buy a SNIB and that will be worth it. Well, I can't say what you bought isn't worth it because it is. I am just saying the shipping killed you!!!

Yep-It costs me US$50 to ship ANY RC car from the US to NZ-I haven;t ever bought a truck in,that'd be even more .
I don't really mind the cost-These cars have more value to me than the money does,if that makes any sense

I'm bidding on an OG RC10,at the moment.

Losi themselves went to a conventional steering servo mount on the JRX Pro (correct me if I'm wrong),I like using the RPM servo mounting kits-cheap,work real well and look good.
I had the steering servo squirm in my beater brushless JRX2 street racer...A hole had been drilled, but there was no room for a regular servo post 'cause it was too close to the battery tray...I just threaded a filthy big cable tie through the hole and through the servo's mounts, that stopped the dang thing and kinda suited it's beater looks

Hey FasterLouder, I believe the first real servo mounting started with the XX series. The JRX Pro was I think the first chassis to have the cutout for the larger Kimbrough style servo saver. But I think ya still servo taped it.

Suggest the clear 3M servo tape, sold under various brands, I think mine's Parma, some of the better stuff I've used. Holds well, strangely enough it's easier to clean up too, tends to stay together when pulling off.

Thanks for reminding me that I need some decent servo tape,Bongo!
Good ol' 3M.
I love that company! Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing. :D

The JRX Pro had a longer chassis and thus, room for another servo mounting post.
I'm sure they came with two post holes...
