I recently dusted off one of two of my vintage RC10s, this one being my RC10 graphite and the other, a RC10 goldpan.

For my graphite, I wanted to give it a more modern look along with more modern electronics.

I started off with a fresh viper body and used Kawasaki as inspiration for the color layout. Some of you are going to be mad when I say that I died most of the original white parts to black, and there are also other black replacements parts too.

I got a new Reedy Challenger 19T motor, a new Futaba radio, transmitter and servo. I also got a good Novak Hammer Pro off of ebay too, which replaced the old Novak 410 I had. I put the 410 in my gold pan, but since I still have the original resister speed control that came with it, I am going to reinstall it.
I got a stealth tranny from ebay too, which I have yet to install. It comes with a black dust cover and a graphite brace too, which is sweet.

hey, thanks for the stealth, I cant wait to install it. It adds to the detail to, with the black case. I was told it might not fit and that if I wanted it to, I had to drill some holes in my chassis. I had you send it to my house, but I have been in the field working. I should get to in over Christmas, lol thanks for the present!

Love the build, but I have to say, keep the lime green font to yourself. Some of us use the white background forum skin available here, and everything you wrote is pretty much invisible. Colored fonts are flippin' sweet for 12-year olds on AIM and MySpace, but for reading forums... meh.

Looks great! I assume you're going to run it. When you do, keep an eye on the brushes of that motor. I went through the stock pair very quickly, 3 packs in my B4 if I remember. It's got ton's of juice just didn't last that long The comm was in good shape though, no damage there.

thanks for the heads up on the motor. I was intending on running it, but some guys said they would rather me keep it on the shelf with my goldpan. I guess there was a reason on updating the electronics, so I will likely giver a few times http://www.rc10talk.com/posting.php?mode=reply&f=35&t=7793#

I got off topic there a little bit on the "drill or not to drill" thread with stripping the uneven black paint off my rims. I posted some photos on the other thread of the poorly stripped nylon, but got it done none the least.

I might as well post the pics on this thread so people don't have to go back and forth, sorry for the redundancy.
