Diamond in the rough ... kinda new RC10T2

I stumbled across a good find on craigslist. I picked up an unused /partially build T2 for $65. Diamond in the rough meaning most of the part bags are open and scattered in the box and it looks like the thing sat in a garage for 10 years. It is all dusty and i am sure a screw or two is missing (body was missing too) but everything else appears to be there. Transmission and front end were built (kind of) so I am going to take them apart and build them right. I was glad I found this. It was my favorite truck back when I used to race. I sold mine when I left the hobby years ago and regretted it recently until I found this one.
Will post pictures of before and after the build.

on the b2 and the t2 the average sale price is about 65.00 to 75.00 not much more than that, but if your happy with the price who cares.

why are you making it sound as if he paid too much? it's new.

i don't know..... maybe i'm totally oblivious to what a new, partially built t2, with everything included but the body goes for. i just don't see how $65 would be average. it sounds pretty friggin cheap to me.

Very nice score. I'm pretty sure I've seen just the T2 NIP chassis go for around that price. Luckily, new T2 bodies are still available to finish it off.

I consider it a very good deal. Got the body for 15$ shipped so I am a happy camper. I was pretty close to buying a used T2 for about 80$.

you definatlly got a great deal on the UN USED T2!!! Keep an eye on those bodies if you plan to run it. Bout a year ago they we upwards of 45.00 and couldn't be found. Then associated got more and BAM everyone has them again. I have 4 still sitting in plastic so I won't be searching again.

$65 it's a heck of a deal
I Sold a used T2 on Ebay, for $150 and a new In box one for $250.
so $65 is a heck of a deal for a new built T2.
Now that I think about it, why did I sell the NIB one, I'm an idiot..

I too want to know where I can get new built T2's for $65. It sounds like you can put Justin and me down for a few each!
Congrats toykilla- that
is a great deal and I'm glad you found a body so quickly. Enjoy the build!

That's a great price.
I'd gladly pay that for a brand new T2 chassis, which is the next thing I think I'll be on the hunt for, after Christmas.
Time to retire my T2 to the shelf, score a T4 and throw an X-60 conversion at it
Lord knows I've replaced everything else on that truck with new or RPM goodies.
The T2 is still such a fun truck to drive! I'll miss it,for sure.
