Hey Y2, look on RCCrawler.com for local crawling clubs or areas to go. You might like it more than just tooling around in the wild?!

Blue Claws - softer compound
Memory Foam - obvious
etc, etc.
Have fun. I don't even have mine physically yet and I have spent way too much. But to be competitive here you have to. I am going to redesign the suspension links though. Custom 4-link with delrin links and a full size Hitec 645 servo. Holmes Hobbies Crawlmaster motor and a LiPo hopefully.
It is the most dangerous hobby to my wallet hands down.

Curious on what you have in mind for the suspension? I read it is at max for 1.9 class out of the box?Doc J33P wrote:http://www.tcscrawlers.com/search.php?mode=search&page=1

Re: I think I want a Losi Mini crawler....
COmes with a 3-link mount/setup. That is known for Torque Twist. When you are ascending a hill and torquing out the chassis a front wheel will lift. If the tranny is in the stock position the front left will lift. If the tranny is flipped than the right fron will lift. The geometry is off. By making a 4-link mount front and rear it will provide equal travel for all links instead of just a swing point for the third link. Flipping the tranny also helps this issue.
SO,.... I am going to make custom delrin links with all-thread in them with Traxxas ends like my 2.2. That paired with the small other mods will make for a great mini crawler.
