1989 Graphite RC10 Coming Out Into The Daylight

I haven't displayed any of my cars here in the Buggy Forum and this one is the most complete I have. By that I mean everything but the body and I have a number but haven't decided on which one to use and I probably am procrastinating because I love the painting part of the build so much. Anyhow this was built from pieces pretty much all were nip. I want to thank 59burst for the chassis as I hadn't had any luck finding one here in the US. Many of the pieces were gotten in the BST Forum from other members and I want to thank those that posted the correct parts to help in finishing this project. I made this as a 6 gear first edition graphite car as I thought I had a better chance of completing it that way. I may regret that after seeing how much some of the team version sold for with the stealth trans. Also, this post is for Asso_man! who kept after me to post my rides. I'll post more later when I think they're ready to show.

It might be scr8p, I've another at home but right now I'm 7 hours away so can't verify, I do have another.

I'm more partial to box stock so I tried to follow the manual pretty close but a couple of places I veered off. The shelf and the servo ti-rod being the 2 things that come to mind. Not much bling on a stock buggy but in some respects it's harder to find all the correct parts for a period restoration. Anyway, thanks for those nice comments guys.

Later the Team Graphite kit came out and that had the stealth, like scr8p said the original 1989 version was still 6 gear transmission.

is the a yellow sticker on the upper right hand corner that says "rc10 team car"? if not, it'll be a 6 gear.

Looks great!
I just finished putting my graphite together. It was purchaced new in opened box on ebay. It was so great to put one of these together from a complete kit again! Brought back many memories! Its also a 6gear kit.

Question, did these come with motors? I'm bummed that there wasn't one in the box. There also wasn't a sticker sheet which I'm PO'd about! I know that was included in the kit.

I used a nip standard motor but made sure it had a AE address of Cadillac ave on the sticker. You can use just about anything you want as I don't think they came with motors. As far as the decals I'm not sure which sheet might have come with it, maybe someone else can help you there.

you noticed the correct front shock tower, it is the one that I scored off eBay from one of those posts you made that caused a stir a while ago. I'd forgotten about that but it is the correct number of hole for this car and I haven't seen one like it since this one came up, thanks for those heads up posts they helped me several times Mike.
