Hey all

I've poked around this site for awhile checkin out your awesome cars and resoration processes. You guys do amazing work! I finally signed up. I recently aquired a RC10 for a song and a dance. The car was in decent shape and 95% of it was there and original. I'm not sure what year but im guessing 91-2?? My first car was an '88 with a Hot Trick chassis. Loved that car.

Anyway, over the holiday I reconditioned this car. Now i used the term recondition instead of restored due to the fact that i dyed parts and powdercoated the tub. Therefore making it not original but i wasnt going for that. I'm pretty pleased with what i have so far. I did smooth the tub out, glass beaded it and powdercoated it. I replaced all the hardware with stainless steel. Then dyed everything black. (i love black) I'm putting the electronics in as we speak. (futaba junior...old style, square) Have a new viper body waiting for paint. The only thing i dont have is a decent set of wheels and tires. The car came with Losi tires.

So if you guys/gals have any comments or suggestions for me please let me know. Here is a link to a photo album:

let me know if this does not work and i can post pictures another way.

Thanks for having me....

Hey wheelzup,
Welcome to the board. I prefer black too over the traditional gold pan along with the parts. Looks good. You got gold shocks on that there project of yours? Couldn't tell with my scrawny screen...

Klavy69...no those are the dark colored bodies....and they work pretty well and dont leak!

Thanks for the welcome everone.... Man it kinda stinks building these cars in a way. I'd like to go thrash it like and have fun but i dont want to scratch it...much less break it! Maybe I'll just chase the dog with it in the house a little bit. If he doesn't pick it up and carry it off.....

Maybe its a sickness but im already looking for another one and i havent even finished this one yet.

MWAHAHAHAH!!! Thats how the "Fever" starts. The first is just to "experiment" with. Then, "well, that one didnt hurt any body, nobody knows about it, and it was FUN!!!" Next thing you know, youre down on your knees...(oh come on now, I HOPE no one here ever got THAT bad)...BEGGING THE WIFE, to let you "borrow" a little bit of the grocery money, digging in the couch cushions, USEing your KIDS, as an excuse to get more RC...and all of a sudden, you REALLY hit rock bottom, and start BEGGING people to Buy all the Extra Stuff you dont need. Its sad, very very sad.
.....HEY, WAIT A MINUTE.........!!!!!!!
