So I acquired these kits some time ago, both is decent shape, one was mint, the other a bit hacks, but usable.

Wondering if anyone has one around. I know the bodies are ridiculous to find and I want to turn one of them into a potential crawler. Just an idea.

I'll post up pics.

I actually have quite a few "old" kits, I'll post my collection at some point.

Been into RC for some time, kinda got out of it due to $$ reasons, and trying to get back into it.

The closest I have is the Kyosho Chevy 4x4, the old chain drive verison, but I think it long precedes the Pathfinder.

What other kits do you have?

Heh, its funny talking about the Kyosho 1/9 trucks now as I was just looking for a 4Runner body. I have the accessories for the body, but I just dont have the lexan. BTW I have a pathfinder in awesome condition, and I have a chassis minus body. Both are electric. I dont see them being much of a crawler with the limited travel of the front suspension, but let me know what ya come up with. I just love the looks of these trucks, but I like my mounty a bit more. :)

Wanna sell a shell???

The one I have, someone hacked the chassis (cut the "fenders") and rotated the Shock tower and added longer shocks. The shocks are pretty beat, but since its hammered already, I kinda want to build it up. But $$ and time seem to be the problem.

Its got a solid axle, and its beefy enough (twin motors) I just need another EST that will handle a low grunting motor.

The bodies are hard to come by. I wish the 4runner wasn't so hacked on mine. originally i was going to mod my good one a bit and make it the "tow vehicle" for my RC rally car.

I wish I had an extra shell to sell. Ive been patient waiting for a 4runner body to appear for like 3 years. Ive pretty much given up on the search, but would love to find one. I was lucky enough to buy the truck minus body for 25 bucks because the seller didnt know what it was. Just would love to complete it. Good luck with the project. It will be quite the challenge.

I could try and contact a buddy who has access to an injection mold and try and get a copy of one of my shells. Might take some time, but i seriously would love to find a body that would fit this shell.

Injection mold is not the right process..... Just make a mold, there are a number of different types of materials to use, then you will need a vacuum/thermo-forming machining. Also, one note, that will not be a easy body to get a good amount of "draw" with, due to the size, side height, and overall surface area.
