It's a 5/64" allen. Assuming the original LRM 6 gear tranny.
Sounds like you got it covered, don't let it slip, the diff gear melts fairly easily. Especially with a motor like yours.

There are a couple of things to look at.

1. The ball bearing differential is using the wrong bearings - Losi sold an upgraded diff gear in which a bearing is inserted in the center of the gear. The kit came with 2 thin bearings...but the wrong combination of bearings (thin / thick) is used, this will cause the diff to slip regardless of how tight the diff is adjusted.

2. The diff is too loose - The early jrx2s had a very tight diff due to the thrust bearing that was used and the purple diff lube. Because of this, races would loosen the diff so much to the point it would slip and eventually melt.

Losi released an updated thrust bearing that was more durable and easier to adjust. They also released a yellow diff grease. The old stuff was really thick and sticky.

The easiest thing to do is to tighten the diff...and it that doesn't work, take apart the trans and post pictures.

Hi guys, thanks for your replys. I turned the adjusting screw alittle till it felt nice, now it runs great.

I was thinking i have this JRX2 to have a little fun with but i hate to use a new jack Johnson Motown missle to that that with. i may just put that motor in my new built box art JRX2 and put new motor in my car so i can run it. I built a few 7 and 8 cell battery packs and may run a new motor. Any suggestions? maybe a checkpoint?
