Vintagelosi.com updates

If you hadn't realized by now, I am the extremely lazy owner of vintagelosi.com.

Just wanted to let you vintage Losi diehards know that I finally got around to updating the site.

I updated the parts that are available from the hobby shop that is sort of local to me.
http://vintagelosi.com/RC_Car_Kings.html

They found a few parts, or I missed them last time.
I added a1017, a3001(in grey), a9925.
Also may have found a RRP lightened slipper that works with them. Not for sure though. (see the picture)

Finally got rid of the vansinvents junk on the site, they seemed to have fallen off the planet. Shame that all those old Dahms molds disappeared as well. Last time I talked to the guy, he said some molds had a lot of cracks in them. So maybe it is just as well.

Also, for those who use Horizon Hobby for part searches, I figured out how to do wild searches. A while back they changed the code so you couldn't search for something like losa10 and get all parts that start with los10. Used the old timers search trick, add * at the end. So search for los10* and get all parts that start with losa10. Not that there is much left for some of those searches.

Oh and the most important thing, added a link to rc10talk.com on the main page.
I always feel sorry for the people who email me and i don't check the account for like a week. Maybe now they can get some quicker answers here.

What a coingkidink!!! As Im sure it is with most here, Ive been "wanting" to, but not having the time OR the moola, work on something besides an AE. Now, just days after having what has been IDed by some here, as a LXT, dropped in my lap, here you come with a Vintage Losi Site....niiiice.
Ok, heres the problem  . Ive gone there and tried to bring up the LXT Manual (and download it, if that would be ok) three times, and it locks up my IE (windows XP) everytime. Probably to do with my small, ancient computer, on "out in the sticks dialup"!! Could someone e-mail me a copy? Pretty please!! My e-mail address is monster at vcmails dot com.
Maybe mention youre gonna do it, here first, so I dont get a BUNCH in my e-mail. Not that theres anything wrong with that.

Thanks for the update-nice to hear from you-wasn't sure if the site was still up and running.

I am sending email.
If you are on dial-up, with larger files like the manual, you probably want to do a right click on link. Then choose the save link or download link option that comes up, then save to desktop and open from there after it completely downloads. It probably is stalling your machine when it goes to download the whole file and open in acrobat at the same time.

Also, is it the standard black transmission or the grey XX retrofit one? Additional manual for that grey one.

Have fun!

If anyone is interested, I have a one page instruction sheet that came with the LXT conversion kit A-0910. To convert a JR-XT to LXT.
Also the Poduction Release LXT manual, but at least at first glance I don't see any difference between this and Revision A on the vintagelosi site, other than mentioning the later XX retro tranny.
