There was a hobby shop in Texas a couple of years ago who had the remainder of the Raborn inventory, and they were trying to sell it off as a group. If I recall correctly, they wanted a king's ransom for their stash.
M&M is one of the local hobby shops here. I think there as actually a thread about that on our local forum, if not I'll just ask them about it. If it's M&M those guys will probably know all about it.
Meir at M&M was the creator of Rayborn. I was in Houston a few years ago and met him. Not only did he have all of the remaining Raborn inventory for sale, but also part of the deal was all of the drawings, etc. for someone who would want to "revive" Raborn.
BTW, thanks for steering us in the direction of this site Doug. I can't get enough of some of these old cars.
Yeah, they are addictive, aren't they Wally? I really love the old stuff. I'm glad to see the Vintage forum on DODC taking off, too. That means that it's not just me that's into the old cars.
I wanted to build something a little different after picking up a well-used and poorly-dyed Lightz fiberglass oval conversion. This is the result after filling extra holes and damage, sanding and painting the chassis.
This will be my attempt at building an oval car. The car will be built using many original and period parts. Only a few re-re parts will be used such as the shocks and a few bits I couldn't find in the condition I wanted. I plan on running the car...

Never been an oval fan, but this is a really good looking car.
It's been a while since I built an RC10. So I figured it was finally time to open a NIP Lightz oval conversion I've had for many years.
There's nothing fancy on this one and I built it as more of a gearbox club racer.
Hi All
Have a few questions about a conversion kit I found.
It's an RCH oval conversion kit.
Anybody ever heard of it?
Anybody use one back in the day?
Any pics of one built?
I will ad a pic later of the kit I have.
Thanks
Mike

Thanks to fredswain, I picked up this NIB Raborn Invencer XT kit a few months ago. Fred also had Barry Raborn autograph the chassis for me. :D

Congrats on the truck Dave. It looks great. I like the paint. Very period on a sweet body. I can't decide officially but I'm leaning towards the white rims.
