Darryn will be busy polishing his.... shelfers..... and getting ready for the big vintage meet this weekend in Sydney.

The fires are down in Victoria, where I am.... and though I'm not affected by the fires on a personal level, they have completely destroyed many towns that I am very familiar with through my car rallying days, and the areas I spent a bit of time visiting while growing up.

They are currently nearing the town my sister lives in, but the conditions are nowhere near what they were last Saturday, with howling winds and record temperatures (many looked into the eyes of hell that day). I'm keeping in contact with her, and her whole town is on standby in case they needs to move out.

Very very sad state of affairs though.... and to make it even worse, in Queensland, they are going through some of the worst floods on record. Makes you wonder...

Alex

P.S. Still rather live here than England though.....

over 170 lives have been lost now, its just shocking, some of the footage is very upsetting indeed..no one i know has been in the middle of the floods or fires

luckily.. the government and its lack of push towards proper back burning is to blame..regulations vary all around the country as they do on many levels..forestry

conservation is pushing one way to protect the forest, which slows the whole process ..now look at the results..they shouldnt have housing there in the first

place mother nature does what she wants when ever she wants.. im sending some old clothing to assist hope it helps someone
