Shocking question.

Please help, I need some new shocks for my vintage racer, it currently sports CE shocks ( .71 and 1.32 is that correct?) are there any oil shocks produced today that perform well of the same dimensions? I have considered Kyosho Golds and Tamiya High Caps but due to there rarity and collect ability are an extremely expensive option.
Thanks.

Why are you looking for different shocks? Do you want something older than the top loaded associated gold shocks?
As for shocks that are produced today, can't you just use the current assocaited shocks? I know that HPI uses the same diameter shock, but I'm not sure if they have shorter lengths. Then there's traxxas...
Good luck...

highwayracer

I would like to run modern shocks that are readily available (for parts to) reliable, easy to overhaul and perform. The CE shocks I have on at the moment leak like a British Politician. I just wondered if anything was produced today with the same dimensions, thought someone here might have experimented

1.32 teflon full shock kit -

B2 front shock bodies - not sure if these are .71's or .89's, either way they'll work. Just pick up a set of shafts and a few rebuild kits and you'll be golden. Hope that helps.

Well I found a picture on Tamiya Club of an Astute running DF03 shocks so I've ordered these, at £20 inc P&P I thought they were worth a punt, I've seen some good reports on this 3Racing stuff.
