My guess is that he does have fees depending on whether you webhost with him or whatever other services he provides.

There are quite a few other auction houses, online store fronts, and "yard sale" sites around, the problem is payment methods and name recognition. Not too many people have heard of Buy It Sell It, or Blue Jay (I think that's another ) so they don't get a lot of traffic, everyone's heard of SleazeBay and paypal, and no matter how much they are berated, they are the "go to" for online transactions.

Hmmmmm, interesting.
