To be honest with you, I haven't seen too many after market parts for the slingshot. Kyosho has the following:

universal drive shafts
different wheels and tires
the car already came with gold shocks
ball diffs used on the lazer
car already had bearings

So, the only significant change i can think of would be to replace the suspension arms and carriers with the ones found on the lazer. The slingshot suspension was optima based.

You can probably replace the stock bellcranks with a better unit. The other item I replaced was the spur gear. I modified a losi profiled spur gear to work. Other than that, there's not much you can do unless you go really custom (machine an aluminum motor mount).

Regards,
highwayracer

mmm, that's a tough one to find parts for. Some parts are easier though as they are shared with other models like the optima mid.

Put up a picture of what you have already, list what you need and in which state.

To add to highway racers post ( which he pushed in while I was typing the above) there's some different sized spurgears from Trinity and others, and spurgear adpters to allow mounting 48dp standard spurs. All intended for the mid, but compatible.

modern additions could be cvd's of the ultima RB5 and 2.2 inch wheels (llok for the ones with bigger offset). A homemade chassis would help to: the original is just black coulored epoxy , not graphite, so it's rather souple.

Oh, and read the BuySellTrade section entry requirements

Guys, exchange of info is fine, but please be careful, we are walking that thin line of the BST rules. Any questions or comments, let me know. Thanks.

Make sure to put up some [ics of the MID also; especially if it is a bit different from stock.
I've started working on mine yesterday and it sure is going to be 'off the beaten path'
