I had this Cuda looking pretty sharp, to me anyway, until I sprayed window tint too heavily and it ruined the orange paint. I don't know what to do with it now...

Lookin' real sharp,Rick!
I think I'll buy a 'Cuda body,too. :D
Get some matt black Hemi billboards made up for the sides...Lime Light paint
Only way I'll ever own one...Don't even get me started on the price of muscle cars.
You don't need another car to run a different body, man! Go for it and get a 'Cuda for a change of flavor.
Thanks for sharing!
Sure wish we had a Trans Am class, here.Y'all know what I'd be running

Not a perfect solution, but spray the rest of the orange with solid black on the whole car. It will run dark, maybe a rust or even brown, but it won't look like a complete mistake.

The Cuda bodies are hyper thin around the front light buckets, so a few whacks into things, and they tear easily. Before running them, run a thick bead of ShoeGoo down the front fender corners and let it dry. If you are planning to race it, re-enforce the wet ShoeGoo with filament packing tape strips like a mini fiberglass patch kit.

The Camaro is probably the most durable, but the heaviest. The Cuda is one of the lighter bodies, and my favorite racing bod for Vintage Trans Am. I'll probably be running a Cuda at the USVTA Nationals this April.

That's a good idea! I will try it out. Nothing to lose! Thanks for the shoe goo tips. We have a local club that races trans am but I'm too chicken to go down there and demonstrate my crap driving! I'm way too old to run with the little kids and the big kids kick my butt! Check them out at:

Both set ups are friggin' sweet!

As far as the wheelbase issue goes, is there any way of flipping the rear arms to shorten the wheelbase? There may be some tricks you can do. I was able to shorten & narrow a Kyosho Triumph by using different modified arms. No chassis mods.

A buddy of mine just put the HPI Camaro body on his DS. It looks great.

I may be switching out my Bolink 66 Mustang on my Dual Sport.....(Yikes, I may be defecting to the Chevy side..)

Nothing tops those HPI American Racing Torque Thrust style wheels.

A Vintage Mustang, Camaro, or 'Cuda just wouldn't look right with anything else mounted.

I've got a set on my Tamiya VW Beetle, it looks great.

The Trans Am cars look pretty sick with the 8-spoke Panasport racing wheels, too. ;)

Well the weather was nice enough to take some pic's today. here is my second xxxs with a Saleen Mustang body.
I know the wheels are yellow on the real car, but these look so good I dont have the heart to paint them. 26 mm X 9mm off set on rear with 31mm tires their fat. 26mm X 6mm on front with 26mm tires.
