Ok here are some shots without the body. I originaly wanted to make it a road car so I made a new front end. It didn't steer to well but I only drove it once. The rear shocks are from some tamiya not sure which one. I made the rear wheel discs at work on my lunch, but I was in a rush so only one of the discs covers the wheel like it is supposed to. I dont work in a machine shop anymore so I never made a new one. I was looking around for the other original dually wheels but I only found one rear one. What I did find was another front tire to replace one of the ones that dried up and broke. I also found another set of slicks, but since I think I am just going to clean it up and just put it on the shelf.
I seriously mean this as a compliment: That first picture is classic r/c beautiful ugly. It screams 80's and I love it as much as I love Molly Ringwald. It will be saved, oh yes, it will be saved...

No suspension dampening in the front of that rc10?
In my early years I didn't think it was important. In fact I bought a threaded rod so that I could take the rear shocks off. I noticed that I still have it in my old tool box. Since I am going to just clean it up and put it on the shelf I am going to put the original shock set up on the front and I have an extra set of front shocks I can use on the rear to replace the no names it has right now.

Here is a picture of my cars from the late 80s
Now THAT'S what I'm talking about! Real deal vintage r/c cars. I wish we could make that a background shot for this board. Thanks for sharing that, it's awesome.
Cool TMS project you've got there. Those dually bodies come up ever now and then. Hard to find, but not impossible. That rear wheel disc looks awesome, too bad you don't have a pair. I wonder if you could get Moon to make you some, I know they say they'll do nearly any size. Hard saying how much they'd charge, but it might be worth looking in to.
If you want to use the pic be my guest, I will even scan the original photo for you.
I would like to find another body and see if I could redo the paint job, with an airbrush this time. I have a table top lathe that I should tool up and then I know I should be able to make at least one more disc to complete the rear. but actually my original plan was to make all 4 wheels have a disc.
Prince Steve, As far as where to get one all I know to tell you iskeep a close eye on e-bay. If you wanteed to make one you could do it with the right materials. I know you can make chassis out of T6016(I think it is) aluminum, as well as carbon fiber. And if you are real tight on money I did a chassis out of......... dang the same stuff I do the firewalls in my 1:1 race cars. Hope this helps.
You run me in the grass imma run you in the wall, drive like a racer not a flippin idiot
