cordite motor

I just got a lot that had a bolink drag car in it and had a Fine Design Mfg cordite motor. It looks like its been sitting in a puddle for a couple years 
, but I think I can get it cleaned up enough to run again. The armature is solid and is marked "137", and the wire guage is huge! 
. The magnets are about half the size of most motors, but very strong. ( Its hard to pull out the armature!) Im wondering if this is a drag only type motor?
