That is a beautiful job, I really like it! One dumb question though - it looks like the body contour does not match the chassis plate, is that normal for these?

it does stick out a slight bit more but it would probably be less noticable if i cut holes for the body mounts.so it would sit lower.

I see a white spur under that cover; which spur gear adapter do you use?
And does that work with the mids standard "slipper"?

I have a pair of those in black (only the rear ones). I wasn't even sure if they were for the optima mid as they have a slightly different width. Do you know anything more about this brand and their products?

yea that spur came with the car when i bought it,it seems to have been taaped with a set screw of some sort.it works well ,i had a li poly brushless set up in this car before and this bad boy flies.but i dont think i will be running it any more.now im just down to a 2WD ultima pro that i can run as i fixed up all my runners .I need a 4WD beater/runner i guess.

You did a nice job on that car. You should try to find the JG shock towers as well. I'm trying to remember what other parts JG offered for the mid...but those are the only ones I can think of.

Nice work, what kind of paint did you use for the body. Is that a Tamiya yellow, #19?

I have to get around to painting my bodies as well and finishing up a few shelfers.
