It's hard to tell if that's what you mean, but if it is they are normally used on large or heavy monster trucks. They look cool, but I'm not sure exactly why they are made that way. Obviously must have something to do with oil displacement under a heavy load. I'm no expert though.

THUMBS, those are reservoir shocks -- they've made them for all sorts of vehicles for years, concept was brilliant but didn't really work on anything...........
I remembered that too, but thought I must be wrong because it seems like kind of a stupid concept. That's a long way for it to travel. lite, maybe you can post a pic when you get a chance. It would be cool to see. If it was an RC10 application it is likely posted here somewhere. Maybe another member knows.

......... but I do remember seeing something once where the shock caps had a bleeder valve and a tube to run between the shocks -- but it was just another one of the over-engineered bits they came out with back in the day, that was hot for about half a second.
