Are these any use to anyone out there restoring a TRX1.

These are actually new and been used once by a Team Traxxas TRX1 driver in the UK (Craig Harris) and are teflon coated and are (and its hard to believe) smoother than the blue ones.

I have zero use for them and before anyone says go to the for sale section I dont want money for these. Trade for something else maybe, so PM me. I want this to go to a Traxxas collector as this car has memories for me and was the beginning of something special, a new breed of buggy maker.

Hopefully these'll go quickly on RC10talk - I have a set of these on a car Welshy sold me, and they really are nice shocks - Tamiya like smoothness & quality.

I read a couple times these are absolute fabulous shocks and would like them for one of my runner projects... but I'm not a traxxas collector.
If it doesn't bother you afterall, what line of parts do you look for in a trade? Or which car/brand could you use spares for?

I do have a Rad2 that I think used the same shocks as the TRX1. I have restored it (except for the lexan) and a couple of the plastic shocks that came with it are sticky-- the original owner had left the shock collars too tight and the bodies are out of round.

Depends if you're thinking of the yellow plastic CVD's (?) from the 1980's or the shocks they fit to the modern TRF range of cars

Rad 2 shocks are different to these babies, and the TRX1 are the best shocks in my opinion that have ever been made. Super smooth and dependable. In 10 years of running a set I never broke one and thats shows quality.

Yes the were used once mainly to help find a set up, and we used more than one set per race at club so were only used for five minutes on carpet. OK class them as second hand but if someone out there has a set of Kyosho Lazer ZX-5 (thats ZX-five) blue shocks out there that are in the same condition as these shocks then I would swop.

OK the springs are schumacher and doubt they would be any use but they are with the shocks.

sorry, count me out, I won't spend money on swapping good shocks for other good shocks.
(This is not a comment on the offer or the asking price, just logics for me since I'm only looking for good shocks and thereby not appreciating the vintage factor to its value)
