Re: How is this not being reported?

just check out the whole CETA-disaster, where the EU reaction to half of Belgium blocking ratification (on good grounds, I must add) is...precisely what plays right into the hands of all of the populists - antidemocratic like heck. Fully agree. When you are given an ultimatum to sign a treatee... I...

Re: Vintage Rocky 4WD (Kyosho) back on the road

Looks fun. And with the 55T + speed limitation on the radio handset, it manages nice in the rough.

Re: Vintage Rocky 4WD (Kyosho) back on the road

no worries with gearing. A 55T needs to be geared to the moon anyway. Worst case, you're geared too low... makes for more runtime with the kids. I'm more worried in general about using a Rocky in this setup, but we already had this conversation ;) OK thank you for confirming. Don't worry :) My 6 yo...

Re: Vintage Rocky 4WD (Kyosho) back on the road

Hello, just for fun... I am trying some wheels/tires options on the Rocky buggy. With the 55T engine, which makes the speed down at 7-8 km/h, children like taking the cars in the forest track while walking. So bigger wheels might make the journey even more fun. Do you think gearing is at risk ? My o...

235mm wide body shells

Hi, I apologize if that subject was treated on this forum... but I looked for quite a long time in vain. Same on the web. The idea would be to try something different to dress up my Rockies. they have an apparently unusual wheelbase of 265mm (sounds like 10.5 inches) and the body has to be wide enou...

Hello, I cannot help. But as I see it, for some questions, you should try questionning your local shops. That's what I would do ( and did...) to get more concrete and local solutions.

Glad to see you are on top of it. :)

Re: Reducing speed for kids

Hello, you are certainly right. But my sons are 6 yo and 4 yo ! So that's a different level. Having said that, I must say that I am impressed like my 6yo son, after 2h playing with its Rocky 55T (thanks to new NiMh batteries 4700 which last for ever compared to the old days... and with a 55T it last...

Re: Reducing speed for kids

Hello, got the 55T mounted. Finally, works fine as wished ! In mode "fast" (handset switch training mode) you get 11 Kmh and if mode "slow" is selected it is 6-7 Kmh. That's perfect for my sons !

Thx all to nice advices :)

Hello, I must admit I am not skilled to help you on a servo. You could also chose to take your baby for a small ride and... visit your local shop just to buy a servo ? You would get the good advices from the shop and would be sure to have all you need (little screws, save servo if any, aso...

Re: Restoring my first R/C - 1987 Kyosho Turbo Ultima

Good helpful advice by Antonov, there. I considered answering that "What all do I need?" question, but it's such a loaded question with many different ways to go about it. To do a proper modernization of all your electronics, you really need to go LiPo, brushless, digital, 2.4 GHz. I was ...

Re: Restoring my first R/C - 1987 Kyosho Turbo Ultima

I am like you, you know: family takes time and money. So dont think too much and go the easy way on both. Really. I knew nothing a month ago of all you mention and in no time, I got to have three Rockies running. Focus on having yours done, keeping the cost as low as possible. Motor: what use will y...
