Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
I've got two of those Victor Engineering esc's but both of mine have silver stickers on the top, not black like yours. Not sure whether that signifies anything though? Both of mine are top dog VIC-4A's. Is there definitely nothing down to the bottom right corner of the front face of the case?

Re: Motor Collection - Old School Horsepower
Another saved from the junk pile - this one is a pretty rare MG Power white label Magnum 16quad from early 1987. The can has a few marks but the label is good - they are usually silver labels. Typical Mick soldering and heavy lacquer! The uneven comm wear is explained by the cut brushes! Quite pleas...

Re: Motor Collection - Old School Horsepower
Picked this up as part of a bulk buy fairly recently - it was thrown in because it had jammed so was basically a freebie. All it had in it when i stripped it was a grub screw inside which had prevented it spinning. Label is pretty much perfect. It is a 13 turn Platinum II. What is pretty interesting...

Re: TAG Pro10 mag review car with options
Correct, although Umberto tells me they just used to shim the existing pivot balls with a stack of washers and then just use slightly longer fixing screws to produce the same effect. To be honest now he has told me that I might just go that route rather than risk popping the wishbone balls in and o...

Re: TAG Pro10 mag review car with options
Cool. I've seen a few pictures of Pro 10s with deeper dished alloy wheels on the rear. It always looks better to my eye. Unfortunately the Pargu wheels I have are the same depth to the wheel face front and rear. Yeah i have seen those deeper dish rear pictures too. Look fabulous. I only have a coup...

Re: TAG Pro10 mag review car with options
Yeah i was a bit like that as soon as he mentioned it.... 'duuur why didn't i think of that?!' Gisom rims are identical in diameter to the standard red wheels, but the outer lip is thinner (I assume as they don't require the strength) so they are very slightly narrower. The dish is a little deeper o...

Re: TAG Pro10 mag review car with options
I now know that the two vertically inline holes on either side of the front and rear towers are for locating the ARB kit parts…. I now need to find another set for the rear.

Re: TAG Pro10 mag review car with options
Bit of work on the Pro10. First off I switched the standard shocks to Option House - my go to choice bitd and also what the TAG team drivers ran. I also fitted the optional front ARB kit at the same time, as well as relocating the front shock tower ahead of the front bulkhead and thus moved the uppe...

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - May 2023 ** - Winner - morrisey0
Easy one for me this month….. as mentioned above by others I quickly scan through the pics and usually the car I wanted most bitd grabs my attention. There are certain categories that just don’t do it for me - I think the UK eye and hence tastes are very different on that front; we never really had ...

This advert for the 'NEW Pro10' featured in the May edition of RCMC magazine, so that was out on the shelves in April (in the UK at least).

Re: TAG Pro10 mag review car with options
I guess one thing to note is that the 'white wishbone' team cars were essentially Pro10's in all but name. The aluminium shock towers were very slightly different in design, but the white wishbones were of the same bulked up design as the subsequently productionized car, and they were running throug...
