Re: new Losi 22s '69 Camaro No Prep RTR drag car

Body should be one piece for sure. They sacrificed performance for scale looks. The issue I saw in their video, is you can see the tires rubbing the front of the rear wheel well. Tires rubbing the body can be a real bad thing at high speeds. The body definitely looks cool though.

Re: Cheapest Brushless ESC Test and Review

Hobbywing customer support has severely declined in the last year or so and the quality of their products does not seem to be what it was in the past. Still not a bad brand, but they want big brand name money for their products and are not offering the support to back it up. I still use the ones I h...

Re: DR10 Battery Sizing; Is My Logic Way Off?

First, you have to understand the "c rating" is BS. It is a made up advertised rating. No prep drag cars are a much different animal than a promod. You're trying to send what is essentially a 5lb. short course truck down the track. It takes a ton of current. I have seen all types of batter...

Team Car Manual Art Paint on a Turbo Mirage

Painted this one today. Trying to keep myself busy while my house is under quarantine. Not sure which body actually came with the team car kit, but I thought a manual art style paint job would look nice on a scoopless turbo mirage. Let me know what you guys think.

Re: Andy's Toyota Stadium Truck Body

Painted this one yesterday. Its an Andy's body that's produced and sold by Sabula Tech. I have been buying bodies from Sabula Tech for a couple years now and the quality has always been very good. I've always loved the classic Toyota Race Team colors. MCI provided the Toyota badging decals. That tu...

Re: RC10B3 Dirt to Turf

I'm not sure if there is one available, but a gear diff, in place of the ball diff, will help a lot on turf. I converted my T4.2 a few years ago to a turf truck to get back into racing and the gear diff was the most noticeable upgrade. Rear motor cars are at a bit of a disadvantage on turf, so the m...

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread

Thanks Jeff! That was even more helpful, because the complete car that I have has that entire rear pod/axle on it. Even the same wing mounts. :D

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread

Trying to verify who made these plates. Not sure the correct technical name---motor plate, pod side plate, axle carrier plate. I picked up a few sets of these with some vintage drag cars and parts. The components that were used with them were mostly AE 12L. The guy I bought them from said he thought...

Re: "Just a Slash" No Prep Drag Car

RC drag racing seems to grind to a halt up here in the northwest in winter, but some of us are still out here grinding it out on the cold asphalt. I made this pass yesterday on 40 degree asphalt. Thats fast bud and competitive, so far the national average looks to be 2.2's @ 65-70 mph.................

Re: B5M/SC5M No Prep Street Outlaw Drag Car

You can't go wrong with Factory Works products. I use many of Jeff's products on my cars and they have proven to be of the highest quality. The rc no prep drag scene has really taken hold in southern oregon. Since I first built this car and took it down to my local track, it has taken off and now we...
