Re: Winter Budget Beater RC10EGT

You can sit them in the sun or UV lights to speed up the process. My understanding is that the yellowing we see in old parts is actually the bromine (flame retardant) separating and rising to the service of the plastic or nylon. The UV effectively "vibrates" the molecules to allow the bro...

Re: Winter Budget Beater RC10EGT

I appreciate the response and hope the vacation was enjoyable. I've restored shoe soles in the past using the same technique except on the shoes you apply the product directly and then saran wrap them to keep it wet. You can sit them in the sun or UV lights to speed up the process. The concern I had...

Re: 870c ReRe?

Got mine in last week. It’s such an efficient build compared to Tamiya. Little nerve racking having the exact number of screws and eclips etc. Loving the 89 conversions. @gomachv is that chassis brace available on factory works and will it work and the standard re chassis? Is that a turnigy servo? S...

Stealth 2.25 Outdrives

Started building a new stealth trans this evening pulling out all the parts I’ve been hoarding b3 rebuild kit, new 6580, v2 slipper, avid top shaft. Line them all up and start greasing. I open the out drives that I remember scavenging for and they’re the wrong ones 7667 and 7668. Not happy Where can...

Re: Another RC10T restore.

Here are some pics of the project. Truck is running pretty happy with the speed needs some transmission tuning and maybe a little suspension but all in all pretty solid. Haven’t tried the new proline trenchers yet but I’m sure they be sick for bashing. In hindsight would have been better to buy a le...

Re: Another RC10T restore.

Need some advice.. started to fit the body and had to remove the front bumper to fit the jconcepts body up to the imprinted holes. The rear align great but the front don’t match up at all. The holes are In a good spot but the body does not sit low enough to pin it in place even with pressure Questio...

Re: Another RC10T restore.

Love that paint job, sick looking T, clean and tidy. over the past few weeks I've picked up a slew of parts, some trial and error others are spot on. i'll post pics and a list in the next week or so as it will finally be running. what kind of difference do you see running the 81t spur vs the 87t? wh...

Re: Another RC10T restore.

Dennis is right is the wire c ring that keeps popping out under the weight of 35 fluid. I'll take that advice and see if it works out, not too optimistic for the long term. thanks for the input Klavy respectively was going to get the proper length of 27.5 for the front and 36mm for the rear. Thought...

Not too pleased. Looking at replacing the shocks all around with These. Is there going to be any problem...
