Instructional booklet

Finally found one on ebay. It came with the instructional booklet too! So excited to try it out.

I got it for a good price on ebay. It was a bit of an impulse buy. Its clean but the tires are a bit chewed on the outside edges. Bought this cheap body on ebay to put on my vintage RC12L and used some spare stickers from a BMW body from HPI that I had lying around. Just thought I’d share.

Got this beauty in the mail recently. I think this is the last ESC made by the original Tekin. Can someone confirm? Also, what is the extra red wire for?

I don’t think I want to paint them. I’m going to use these as display and use the beat up painted ones for running.

Running on the beach is awesome. I have a blast when I bring my TRX4 and put it in high gear lock the rear diff. Also my Radio Shack Golden Arrow with Tamiya Sand Scorcher wheels is super fun as well.

I’m planning on getting an RC10T6.1 to contrast and compare against my T1. All the generations between (T2-5) have plastic tub bodies and look progressively more “cab forward” as mentioned in this thread. The T6 at least goes back to a metal plate chassis.

Edit: T5 has an anodized chassis

Maybe you had the same problem as me. The Ch 2 has to be reversed then both pots centered.

Ok figured it out, I had to put the TX ch 2 in Reverse. Then I checked the two pots on the ESC and centered them from their endpoints. After that it was a matter of minor adjustments to the break and throttle pot.

Well I tested it on the TC10 and the motor runs when I break and stops when I accelerate. Also, the motor runs backwards. The polarity on the output is correct, positive is positive, etc. I reversed the transmitter channel and the motor doesn’t stop either in break or fwd. Its as if The ESC is picki...

Took the wires and cut the excess and resoldered directly to the PCB. I eliminated around 8” of thick gage wires and 6” from the receiver wires. Tested and it works great. Now to clean the heatsinks, close the unit and install on the RC10.
