Re: Factory long wheelbase TCP new build

Dinglem, if you cant seem to get parts sent to the UK, let me know. I'd be happy to get what you need shipped to my house, and I'll put it in the mail with your address on it. If there's anything else you cant find, also let me know. Trx1-3 also helped me, and between the two of us, we ended up gett...

Re: A Quick Bullet Resto

I may have one laying around... I'll do some digging in my pile of old Traxxas parts. It may be dingy and need some cleaning... that ok?

Re: TRX-1 from the grave

Looks Great!!! Those Slash carriers come in clutch when nothing else works! I've been running the older Bandit style wheels... love the dish, and the fact that they still use the pin-style axles. Also love that you have some nice blue hardware in there. I went with as much black allen hardware as po...

Re: TRX-1 from the grave

The track uses a half of the "ice" area of our local ice skating/hockey rink. During the winter, we rent out a conference room in one of our local hotels and build a track there for 2-day events each month.

Re: TRX-1 from the grave

The chassis needed a little love... there was a pretty hefty ding in the CF that I filled with a mix of epoxy and CF dust from sanding another old CF piece I had. Got it straight and tidy... then modified some Slash front caster blocks, and put some Bandit spindles and axles so i can use old "p...

Re: TRX-1 from the grave

Yeah... I've been using a lot of those! Only problems are... I have the brand new caster blocks, but finding good wheels to use with the old style axle, where the bearings are captive in the wheel... that's been pretty tough. I actually got some bandit steering blocks and slash caster blocks, and th...

Re: TRX-1 from the grave

I'm learning as I go... Bandit parts arent necessarily a direct fit for the TRX-1/-3 architecture. I tried to put the Bandit front spindle on the caster blocks... no fit. So, off to the good ol 'Bay for a set of Slash caster blocks... also no fit. DREMEL to the rescue! LOL... now, with Bandit spindl...

Re: Laydown on the way!

My apologies. I should have posted in the "Modern" area... not Schumacher vintage. It's their newest (as of April 2021) model.

Laydown on the way!

Just ordered a new Laydown this morning! Anyone here have/run one? Any tips? Parts that go? Pearls of wisdom to share?

Re: K1 Aero

If you can run it "vintage" style, brushed with NiMh or NiCad... I say do it! If you end up in the rabbit hole with a somewhat vintage buggy, running new electronics... come find me there. That's what's probably going in MY vintage resto-rod! :-) Looks great... cant wait to see what you do...
