My answer is always, "Build it". If you want to make money, storing unbuilt RC cars for 40 years probably isn't the best way to do it.

Well after rattling around a bunch of different paint ideas, and looking at Vintage Funco race buggies I decided on a simple paint scheme for my RC10. Didn't feel like dealing with liquid mask this time around so decided to do things like I would have done way back when, using masking tap and spray ...

Painted the wing and mounted up the body for my 870c. Gave up on trying to get paint into the sides of the wing and just ended up painting the exterior of it, doesn't look too bad, just less shiny than the body.
