Re: RC10 graphite
i'd stay away from the alloy parts. they add weight and can break the parts they attach to.

Re: Houge RC10
Just came upon this thread last night. My name is Lucas Houge, the son of Mike Houge. My parents now own a small CNC machine shop just outside of Nashville, TN where we machine and fabricate our own asphalt late models and other racing parts. Its very cool to see these RC cars are still around! do ...

Re: Kyosho now on the re-re bandwagon - Scorpion
An example is my friend just bought a Wild One and brought it out yesterday. He said he wouldn't bother running it as compared to the Scorpion the suspension is a joke. I gave it a drop and the front bounced cause of too much pack and the rear bounced just as bad because of the opposite, too soft a...

Re: Radio Impound Podcasts/ neat information on them
i agree, although i love the performance of todays 1/10 racers, they are not 1/10 scale. a grasshopper is 1/10 and looks tiny next to a modern 1/10.
but that started with the goldpan really, even the short arm is big for 1/10, it's long.

Re: Kyosho now on the re-re bandwagon - Scorpion
Maybe the jconcepts rc10 tyres would be worth a shot. the jconcepts "rips" fronts for the rc10 work great, a fantastic tire. the rear tires from jconcepts are for a 1.7" wheel, the scorp's are 1.5", don't fit. anyone know where we can find some 1.7" rear wheels that will wo...

+1 on the turnigy trackstar 17.5, it's a bad mofo for 40 bux.
i've got one in my scorpion and it's a rocket.
i'll have to do a comparison with that and the tekin and lrp 17.5's i've got.

Re: Kyosho now on the re-re bandwagon - Scorpion
travel is the issue, which as soon as i get some extra funds i am going to experiment with shocks. i know we won't be able to increase travel, but if dampening can be improved enough then we can take modern jumps better. on straights and sweepers it's a rocket, not too bad in the esses either, it's ...
