Re: Ultima rere front bulkhead
Sorry for joining late here. The re-re front bulkhead works fine. It does widen the front track by about 3mm...I think. They added more "meat" around the screw holes. That's where the OG one cracked all the time. I would not use an OG part if you plan on running the car. Old plastics get b...

Re: Lunsford Racing closes up shop
I just recently ordered some turnbuckles for a build I'm working on...I guess I should order more before you can't get them anymore. :( Well, it was a good run. I literally have their turnbuckles on all of my race buggies. You just kinda figure they'd always be there. Even before my last order, I ha...

Re: Tamiya New Beetle FF01 front wheel drive fun
I have a New Beetle too that I purchased back in 2000. I recently made a few upgrades including adding the Castrol Civic body which I think looks great.
I also added the period shock upgrade to replace the old plastic CVAs.

Kyosho M2.6 nuts
Guys, I'm looking for a source for M2.6 nuts. Kyosho uses this size for some of the suspension link connections. Of course, I can buy an OEM pack of 10 for $10, but that just seems silly. I've found some here: https://www.mcmaster.com/nuts/hex-nuts/thread-size~m2-6/ These appear to be plain with a z...

Re: Turbo Optima mid SE
I ordered the re-re bumper parts tree. The bumper does fit. It's a little different than the original but it's 1000 times better than the beat up one I was using. I'm almost finished with the restoration. Just need to finish the wing.

Re: stealth outdrives
Do they come with new rings? Did we ever find a source for 2.25 diff rings?

Re: Turbo Optima mid SE
I'm currently finishing up a Turbo Optima Mid SE restoration that I started years ago. It's just about finished. The only re-re part I've used is the body set. I think I may replace the front bumper with the re-re version. Is the bumper essentially the same as the original?

Re: RC10 Worlds Car rerelease collectibility (rapid rise)
I bought one back in April 2014 and built it right away. Did anyone else do that?

2.25 outdrives
Last February, I moved to a new house. I'm pretty much organized but I'm still finding random parts that I put in weird boxes. I found these 2.25 outdrives in a box with my ties that I no longer wear since I don't go into the office anymore. :D They are a little bit knocked around and appear to have...

Shock towers need ID'ed
Hey team! I found these in my pile of nonsense RC10 parts. Anyone know the brand? The mounting holes are counter sunk.

Re: Bulk axle shims
Custom works has a mixed size set of shims. https://www.amainhobbies.com/custom-works-3-16-axle-shim-kit-csw7048/p701778 at $4 it's not to bad for shims. AH! That's good assortment. I didn't see that one. jwscab Yeah, FB's algorithm always adjusts things so you gotta respond right then or you'll ne...

Bulk axle shims
Hey guys! I asked on the FB group but I didn't really get an answer. I'm in need of the standard 3/16 x .01 shims that are used for axle spacing. I see Amain has a 20 pack for $6 which isn't crazy, I guess. I thought McMaster might have a 50 or 100 pack. When I look for shims there, they have a set ...

Re: Dusty Team Car + Wheel/Tire Qs
Guess what!? I found some 3/16 CVDs in my stash! Also, I DON'T HAVE THE RIGHT BEARINGS!!! Ugh, I checked the usual sources Avid, Boca, Fast Eddy...who am I missing? They do have some options but I just need the standard $1 bearing not a ceramic bearing for space shuttle use. Also, is the 3/16 x 3/8 ...
