Re: First ever RC10.

Your paint job is better than most, and certainly above average for a runner/basher! What issues are you having with the bearings? Thank's for the paint props. It's the first time using an airbrush, usually it's just a rattle can attempt. Three of the bearings were a little crunchy to start with, s...

First ever RC10.

Having never owned an RC10, the worlds kit seemed to be a good place to start, and I am glad I did.

Not without its problems (stiff stealth box, rubbish bearings, short top shaft and springs that rub) its an awesome car to own and drive.

The paint job is a work in progress!

Re: CAT XL

PPS; I'm just wondering if your one-ways are installed the wrong way round - the photo suggests that your rear wheels are spinning but not the fronts - you should have 4wd on-power, then rear wheel drive only when it comes to applying the brakes? I was wondering the same thing, so I switched them o...

Re: CAT XL

After nearly a year I have made a little progress with my first ever paint job. Like I said before, this isn't going to win any awards for "best in show"

Re: CAT XL

I have them currently soaking in a warm water bath, and I think I am going to ream them out a little (not too much, but just enough so not to have to use a vice to get the bearings in as per instructions)

Re: CAT XL

Today a package arrived from Denmark containing T029 T515 one way clutch housings, replacing the cracked and glued bodge jobs I have. A massive thank you to DennisM. They're really are decent people out there, and some do help keep vintage RC cars alive!

Re: CAT build

A lovely job well done, looks like we are at about the same stage. Have you had any luck finding rear wing buttons, Im nearly getting to the point of buying a lathe and making the damn things myself. Please let me know how the penguin shell works out, I did read that somewhere that they ran a littl...

Re: KYOSHO 'BURNS' ELECTRIC, NOW COMPLETE!

This has to be one of the most interesting posts i have read in a while, and one that is going to make my wife roll her eyes. A vintage car that can handle Lipo power. It is what I have been looking for. Thank you.
Now to find a Mugen Supersport.

Re: CAT XL

Trying to come up with ideas for spraying the shell (which I still have to get (any ideas on suppliers, quality etc) How hard could it be? Considering the last time I tried ( Tamiya Hornet) was painted with a brush on the outside of the shell 27 years ago.......I had no idea! I also have to paint a ...

Re: CAT XL

Wow Neil that is looking nice mate. Very clean and well put together. Please be sure to get some pics of this car in action. Cool, thank you. Building this thing has been so much fun and calming (apart from the bleeding hands part) One thing I have learnt from this is that, yes, Schumacher made an ...
