Wow, I can't believe the 2.65:1has been discontinued. It seems like I only bought one not that long ago.
Moral of the story, buy everything you can afford for the 10/T You never know what is available today that wont be tomorrow.

Re: From Track to Car Park...
I still have it, it just sits collecting dust with the others.
I like your 1/12's, the bodies seem to be in reasonable condition.

Re: Who else has a buying problem?
I definately have an RC problem. I'll buy anything from onroad to offroad if the price is right. Lately though I've been seriously thinking of selling off a bit of stuff I don't have much of an interest in to collect more Associated stuff. If there was an AA for RC I'd need to sign up.

Re: From Track to Car Park...
It's 1/10 sorry. Ground clearance is definately your friend for parking lots. As you can see it didn't really matter how beat up the car became. I had to make a new front plate and used old 10L steering blocks. I also made a rear link suspension for it, works surprisingly well considering how rough ...

Re: Not vintage but anyone run an RC10R5 with a 235mm conver
Just finished getting my 10R5 ready and took it to the track. The track has changed a ton and has no traction for pan cars. Even though I just painted a body for it I still ordered a 235 kit anyway, so we'll see how it goes.

Re: Stinger 6.09 ci V8 engine
Sad story about what happened at the foundry. He used to advertise the 427 in RCCA during the 90's. Personally I liked the look of the 427 better as the 609 is pretty modern looking. Regardless he is still an extremely skilled craftsman.

Re: Wide right arm side oval
I built a short/long arm offset chassis car using DS on one side B3 on the other probably 10 odd years ago. The car came out great but I never ran it. Always wondered how well it would have worked, but according to the info here not very well. I love projects like this as the RC10 was an easy car to...

Re: From Track to Car Park...
Here's an old bolink car that I used to bomb around the local schools parking lot with. The car was pretty trashed when I got it, quite a few bits were missing. I rigged up a bit of this and a bit of that to make it work. I'll have to get a pic of the chassis. Surprisingly the car worked quite well.

I ran it dry and it didn't like it. Might last longer with a bit of grease though.

Re: RC10B4.1 Factory Team Worlds Kit by Slotcarrod
I didn't like the MIP top shaft, it wore too quickly and was useless after a couple of meetings. A Hammad Ghuman style top shaft would be the perfect solution. Carbon for high grip tracks and to increase responsiveness. Plastic for low grip and bumpy tracks, also easier to drive. I wish AE would mak...

Re: How to mount, trim and trued tires for 1/8 Scale Team Ass
A bit late to the party but you can actually recycle 1/8 tires to make perfect 1/10 tires. 1/8 tires seem to have a higher rubber content than 1/10 foam which make for killer tires that you can basically get for free. Most 1/8 guys just chuck away tires when they get too low or chunk a tire, they st...

Re: Not vintage but anyone run an RC10R5 with a 235mm conver
Have you run it, how does it handle compared to a 10L or similar car? Although pricey the IRS hubs are apparently the go, the new pod plates seem to be the best solution though. I'd like to run 7.4v and gobs of power, 6.5T - 8.5T with boost software. Not sure how well the boost will work in a pan ca...

Not vintage but anyone run an RC10R5 with a 235mm conversion
I know it's not vintage but I recently scored a free 10R5 and was thinking of purchasing a 235mm conversion for it. The prospect of running a modern retro 235 car that you can still buy parts for is quite appealing, especially since 235 is just about extinct. Has anyone run one or seen one run?

Re: Bolink Invader "off road" Dirt Tracker II chassis
What's with the cut rear bulkheads? Were they cut from the factory or is it something everyone did during assembly? Mine are cut too and I always thought the previous owner hacked it, but the more I see I'm beginning to wonder. Mine is all black G10 with spring loaded drive cups and a mini dogbone i...

Re: Light Weight Outdrive on T3
No they wont fit unfortunately. Associated #1766 are for a 2.6:1 transmission and the B2/B3/T3 are 2.4:1. From information that I can gather on ring sizes the 2.6 rings are 17mm ID / 23mm OD, the 2.4 rings are 13.4mm ID / 21mm OD.
