Re: Kyosho now on the re-re bandwagon - Scorpion
I bought the RC10 originally for the memories. However after quite a while messing with parts and building, I really got the RC10 bug out of my system. Also after the re-release craze the prices I paid for original parts has nose dived. So lesson learned and I will not be repeating this again. Hence...

Re: The Vintage 1/8 Onroad Thread
Great thread. You have to love the proper engineering which goes into 1/8 racers.
I recently bought a new in box vintage Rossi race engine. If anyone has another, or a Nova-Rossi they wish to part with I can offer a very good home

Re: Kyosho now on the re-re bandwagon - Scorpion
I've gone back to vintage 1/8 scale 1980s racers. Even the original market was niche. Most people today couldn't even name the vintage 1/8 cars before the Burns and 99.9% didn't own them. I raced a Gephard III against SGs & PB Mustang Xis... the PBs were lighter, nimbler & fragile so my tan...

Re: Kyosho now on the re-re bandwagon - Scorpion
I am done with 1/10 because of the re-release band wagon we are seeing. There is no point collecting rare old cars and parts just to see new versions released at discount prices from China. And now Kyosho are getting involved. Oh dear. I've gone back to vintage 1/8 scale 1980s racers. Even the origi...

Astounding on a road bike! I think those rims will be a tad stressed out!

Re: This was on AE Facebook page...
Even if the chassis is as good as rc will ever get, why make it so ugly? Put in a little effort and add some lovely lines, a decent body, some character here and there, quality feel of materials (alloy, real carbon fibre, titanium etc). They just look so plastic and ugly. Fast does not have to mean ...

Oh dear. Looks like the future of rc is still hideous. Still, they make vintage cars look even more stunning.

Re: What POSSIBLE reason........
To be honest I've never used an associated shock. My only experience was briefly owning a static worlds car on a shelf. Back in the day I drove an optima mid, which obviously had the lovely gold shocks. I was very impressed with them at the time and they were my favorite part of the car. So when it ...

He sees the light. The light of gleaming gold option house parts. Once you have felt the smooth motion of those kyosho dampers there is no going back

Re: Sand Bug
Really inspiring build. Lovely work.
I now want to put a more scale style body on my RC10. Any thoughts for other bodies so as not to copy your bug?

Looks great. Metallic red would also look good against all that black.

Favourite Yokomo and why?
I've mostly been into the RC10 but do have a soft spot and respect for the Yokomo variants.
Please detail what your personal favourite Yokomo model is and why...
Maybe post photos if you own, or have seen a particularly lovely example somewhere
which inspired your choice of personal favourite.
