Re: need cat 3000 diff info

Re: Traxxas - Tower Hobby Discount not allowed
Currently, the atmosphere at the LHS is all rtf, rtr. So, brands like traxxas, axial arma, vaterra, flyzone, thats all they sell. The counter boys dont even know parts, they look up parts numbers and recite weather or not its in stock. So, those brands that are rejecting the coupon codes, are the on...

Re: triumph project (Venture Hobbies Voltima tribute)
Im thinking of doing up a custom 4wd buggy with a similar rear suspension. Wondering if there is some advantage to the swept back A arm design. It looks like it functions just like a traditional A arm, but the hinge is forward, so the force acting upon it might have a bit more leverage?

Re: need cat 3000 diff info
Thanks very much for the pdf. Yup, my diffs were built with no thrust assemblies, or cone washers. I bought this car a while back, and just let it sit. Now recently, Im drafting up the parts to repro in carbon fiber and or g-10, so the whole car got torn apart, and Im able to see the true condition ...

need cat 3000 diff info
So, Im taking apart my cat 3k to repro the parts, and it looks like the diffs are pretty scratchy. Ive got the diffs apart, and it looks like there arent any thrust balls or any kind of thrust assembly. Is that correct? Just loosening the diffs made them much smoother, and didnt seem to introduce an...

Re: When Kyosho RE-REs the Ultima, I Hope...
Yeah, thats why I havent used the adjusto link thing. its easier to change toe plates. Mine came in a lot of parts, and it took me years to figure out what it was. Really a good idea because its adjustable. I just know that my ham fisted driving would have it broke in short order.

Re: When Kyosho RE-REs the Ultima, I Hope...
I have 1 of those,, looks like it would break first hit. Not much meat on the plastic parts. I think the better option would be to use different toe plates.

Re: Servo Survey jr z590m
I look for jr z590m servos. They were cheap, fast, tourquey, and metal gears. this is in comparison to standard servos. I used to race them and never fealt I needed better, except in a zx5, that car could exploit a faster servo. Even in a touring car, the z590m was great, as long as there was room, ...

Re: works 93 steering help
Interesting. On the b2 manual, ackerman is changed by repositioning the steering crank joining rod from closer to the crank fulcrum to further out. It appears the angle of the steering cranks stays the same. No options on the 93 works. Ive got it built and set up as close to factory as possible. Its...

Re: works 93 steering help
O/K, so factory has the steering rods mounted to the saver arms, rather than the rack. Ill try that.
