Re: Better 6-gear transmission spur/slip assembly?
How about a 3D printed top shaft out of stainless to accept a stealth slipper??? Not sure how long it will last but my stainless dogbones are holding up. I tried drilling some 3d printed stainless parts and it's wicked hard. Because you'd still need a place for the diff. Yeah I forgot the spur setu...

Re: RC10 Pan Car Refurb (A&L trans update)
I'd say the .56's - they will give you a bit more travel. If your setup is low and super stiff then the .71's will be fine.blubblood wrote:What is the best shock length for the McAllister front end?

Re: Spare/used parts/OIN Mid Motor RC10 build
unless I missed it, what material did you use for the 3d printed arms? And general printer settings? I always wanted to try printing my own arms (which would involve me stopping playing w/ RC cars and finish my "new" 3d printer or at least fixing the "old" one). I get everything...

Re: Spare/used parts/OIN Mid Motor RC10 build
This thing is still alive and running strong - still well into the 60's! lol. I've focused my speed addiction towards my other car - still fighting with finding the right tires. But it's so much fun.

Re: RC10 Pan Car Refurb (A&L trans update)
I looked at your Shapeways page, what is your opinion on the 3d printed stuff? I saw some of the early printed stuff and wasn't impressed with the quality. How is the finish and strength, and can it be dyed like nylon? I love the 3D printed stuff - I'm addicted to it! I've had no problems with it e...

Re: RC10 Pan Car Refurb (A&L trans update)
No I pieced everything together. I made a list of everything i used in this thread a couple pages back. I've done better than 60 with a dragster, basically a yardstick with a bunch of batteries, but a suspension car has to be a handful. Are these the spindles you used -- http://www.ebay.com/itm/3711...

Re: RC10 Pan Car Refurb (A&L trans update)
I got the McAllister kit and was wondering if there was any mods needed to the Andy's arms and if it weakened them. Not a fan of the stock arms. The chassis a 3mm aluminum 'graphite look-alike' and set up for mid-motor and a pair of 2s lipos. I think I can mount a 2-speed also. Do you like rubber o...

Re: RC10 Pan Car Refurb (A&L trans update)
I'm trying to build up a similar RC10 for high speed, except I'm using a mid-mounted Trackmaster belt drive. How much did you have to modify the front A-arm and/or shock mount and did it make them weak? Love the build. Thanks man! Didn't really do anything special to the front end. Originally (from...

Re: RC10 Pan Car Refurb
Just saw this part: LOVE the old race prep connectors but I'm finding some are not reliable so have to make the switch! Let me know if you need somewhere to dispose of old Race Prep connectors. I still use them on everything. 8) I think I may have sold them already - I'll have check my box -...
