Re: XXT G+ ... Or something else?
In the interim I will stalk eBay. The rears come up once in a while.

Re: XXT G+ ... Or something else?
I will take a close look at the wheels but at first glance does not look like a dye job.
Regardless I am going to restore to the original yellow wheels. Thanks!

Re: XXT G+ ... Or something else?
The truck arrived today. The motor plate looks to be the Losi a9920 polished plate that was anodized to match the Trinity parts. The truck is in very good condition. Just a bit of surface rust on the CVDs and minor scuffing on the under carriage. I would still love to know more about the pink wheels.

Re: XXT G+ ... Or something else?
Jamin: Thanks for posting. I looked through your XXT G+ build thread and was impressed. That is great info about the chassis lengths and will help determine what direction I take the restoration in. And I did not notice the milling on the motor plate, so thank you. As far as the pink wheels, if you ...

Re: XXT G+ ... Or something else?
Seller says that the pink wheels were a limited production run by Losi, and the truck is an upgraded XXT not a G+.shoman24v wrote:Awesome! Hopefully you'll get more information.
Edit: Truck started as an XXT-CR, not XXT.

Re: XXT G+ ... Or something else?
I think this truck would be more desirable if returned to stock; take off all the Trinity stuff, put on a dual slipper and the rest of the stock parts. Thoughts? The Trinity parts would look better on my XX BK CR anyway.

Re: XXT G+ ... Or something else?
Thanks for the info. I asked the seller for any info on the history of the build.
Nice truck.

XXT G+ ... Or something else?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/271960443029 Snagged this mainly because of the XX Trinity parts. Looks like an XXT G+, but those came with the dual slipper and this has the HydraDrive. What can you tell me about those pink wheels...Losi or aftermarket? And the blue BK XX motor plate looks out of place on t...

Re: Build Thread -- XX-CR Kinwald
Photos of the Trinity shock bushings installed. Also a brand new rear shock tower after the original cracked in a parking lot mishap. If anyone has new blue lock nuts for the shock bushing screws, MIP CVD rear axles or stock front axles I am interested. http://i204.photobucket.com/albums/bb35/isles1...

Re: Dogbone length problem...
Why would you want to run xx arms on an xx cr? You want part losa2031 or losa9802 (graphite). I believe that the geometry of the XXCR is different than the xx so you cannot interchange parts between the trans and the hubs.

Re: Build Thread -- XX-CR Kinwald
Thanks for the comments. You can find the rear hubs on eBay for about US$9.00 from a seller in the UK. The motor plate is already scratched pretty badly on the underside so I have no worries about making it worse Thanks to a member here I have the Trinity shock bushings to install...going to try to ...

Re: Build Thread -- XX-CR Kinwald
Many thanks. Rather than swap in the stock rear arms, I used the Dremel to cut and file down the extra set of holes on the xx/xxx arms. The test run went well. ESC ran cool with the 88t spur and 19t pinion. Needs to be faster so I will play with the gearing a bit. I got the Sanyo 3300 pack to take a...

Re: Build Thread -- XX-CR Kinwald
Thanks. I realized this morning that I will have to trim the XX-CR body to fit the BK front shock tower. I am not in love with the paint scheme, but I do not hate it either; the colors are a bit too dark. But it looks pretty good for having been painted well over 15 years ago. I also realized how ro...
