Shodog's RC10 collection
I have loved the RC10 since it came out. I only have a few of them but I have done my best to make each one of them really nice. I seek out rare and cool parts to make each one unique. I’ve always been fascinated with R/C cars. I recall having a few low end ones that went forwards and backwards and only turned in reverse. One year for Christmas I got a Shinsei Dust Runner ATC 250 three wheeler. It was digital proportional and was able to run out in the dirt. http://i247.photobucke...

Re: Alloy gear cases arrived...
I used one of Walt's aluminum gear cases for my Worlds car. As Camplin said the tolerances are tight. I used the supplied guide pins and it's straight and true.

Re: Unearthed my RC10 after 25+ years
That's a cool story and even cooler that you still had it after all these years. If you plan to shelf it, I'd scab the esc and motor for another project. No use letting those go to waste sitting on the shelf.

Re: Looking at a Dhawk build....maybe
I have a silver set of the parts you are thinking about getting in blue. They are not perfect but they are a good value for the money. The rear hub carriers are for non flanged bearings. I found that my flanged bearings with 1/4 axles wouldn't work. The steering bell cranks use metric hardware in pl...

Re: POST ALL ANDY'S PAINT SCEMES
Joey, when I saw that Andy posted pics of your body on Facebook, I didn't see it was a custom job and I rushed over to eBay to see if it was still available. I'm envious of that paint job.

Re: Do you have a defender?
I’ve had my TRX-4 for a while now. The chassis has been solid. I haven’t broke anything yet. The servos and esc are junk. The servo for shifting between high and low stripped it’s gears. So did the replacement. Plastic steering horn splines stripped. After installing an aluminum servo horn then the ...
