Re: RC10 Factory Works C2 "Tuber" Build
Wow, Those welds are coming along very nice! They must have taken a lot of time, skill and patience. Just a thought, had you considered eliminating the tower? Maybe small gussets for the shock mounts? It would probably cause problems for the wing mounts though. Maybe shock alignment problems as well...

Re: It begins for A1003 reproduction
Ok, got the quote. Things look about the same as the xx bulkhead. The odd angled holes for the top brace make it a little more complex/expensive to make. After VONATS we will get the CAD revised for the RPM mods to what we already have. Then the file goes for injection molding optimization. We will ...

Re: RC10 Factory Works C2 "Tuber" Build
Okay, for my part, and since you've asked... Obviously this is just one member's opinion. I think the plates look great however, having spent so much time and effort making the welded tube joints look perfect, why would you cover them? I think plate gussets and brackets have their place but, if it w...

Nomad
I totally agree with Doug.
In a form follows function rule of thumb I feel they would be more ornamental.
Just my opinion.

Re: RC10 Factory Works C2 "Tuber" Build
I really don't have a "shop", I have a few folding tables with an old laptop stuck in the corner. My lathe is in the closet! Great artists over-come obstacles. Michelangelo had osteoarthritis, Van Gogh had epilepsy, Beethoven was deaf, Hank Williams had spina bifida occulta, Ste...

Re: A '91 Stealth RC10 project
Thank you Mr. Nomad sir.
Yeah, I'm sorta proud of that bumper.
Actually, I did countersink the bumper screw holes but just not far enough. Also, I haven't ran the screws in very tight.

Re: Stealth Transmission à la carte
I have turned a set of b4 outdrives down to the smaller ring size. You have to turn the od down, and trim back the lip/flange so the 2.25 ring fits. It's hard material so it's hard on the lathe and tooling, for a large machine, it's no big deal. For you taig guys, I don't thing it will do it. I used...

Re: A-Stamp cleanup/rebuild
A popular method was to run longer screws through the bellcrank and use it to mount the body, but it was usually done on just one side. This was from the Worlds car manual...

Re: RC10 CE rebuild electronics
This is how I have mine setup. One of the advantages of using this configuration is that you have the option of moving your battery forward or back to get your car properly balanced.

Re: RC10 Factory Works C2 "Tuber" Build
Yeah, the cage is coming along nicely Nomad. Unlike before, I think this time the plate gusset and extra tubes are a welcome addition (adding some interest to the back of the cage). Is that hole in the center of the plate for mounting something… or would you prefer to keep it as a surprise? :D
