Re: So what did you get in the post today ???

Big thanks to @Bormac for the delivery services, cleaning, sorting, bagging, rebuilding, and for being just a good bloke... and to Richard for the Tamiya stuff and some electricals. Now to get started on race-readying..... only 6 months to go to Vintage Bash 3.0! I suspected you were the "Alex...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???

New boots for my el-cheapo bash truck project...... these cost more than the truck originally cost me! 20240509_165504.jpg One more parts order to arrive, paint a replacement body, swap in a servo that can actually turn the wheels, and it'll be done. I'm banking on Christmas.... won't say which yea...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???

That's a good approximation of the 'other' Schumacher page.... which was no longer open for business, last time I checked. Shame... some people put good time into the community there, so it's sad that it was ruined by the ego of one who puts the dick in dictator.... The group is still viewable, but...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?

My re-re Schumacher parts stash had gotten out of control, so I finally sorted it. It is still a mess, but at least one box is chassis parts, one box suspension, one box shocks.... Considering how much I have amassed in a few years basically supporting just 2 kits (OG CAT and ally pan 2WD), I couldn...

Re: Things that irritate you

Fortunately, I have found a workaround to get Picture Manager installed and working again..... so back to normal for me. I get the feeling Windows 11 is going to be like this a lot..... find a feature that now "works better" (i.e. less efficiently, or not at all), and then work out how to...

Re: Things that irritate you

I'm an old man, very much set in my ways. Having just been evicted from my long-term laptop home (my Windows 7 laptop would no longer power up, or physically charge the battery), I am now trying to get to grips with a shiny new Windows 11 beast. Fair to say I delayed moving from Windows 7 longer th...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?

Got a bit more done on the Navajo body. Painted PS metallic orange over the bright silver. Just need to paint the windows then clearcoat the lot. I have a cunning plan for that melted hole in the roof.

Re: Things that irritate you

Without the time to go back and read through what I've missed recently I hope its not already covered but damn, Can't make everyone happy! Damned if AE does and Damned if they don't. Its not just AE also but people beg for years for repops and then when they do repop something it brings out all the...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?

Over the last few months I have slowly rebuilt a Wild Willy. I picked it up cheap and found a few broken parts, modeled them and printed replacements including having a stainless steel 3d printed axle tube made. Soaked the body in LA's Awesome for a couple days to get the three layers of paint off. ...

Machining some big bore spring collars for Associated shocks. 1.jpg Handy having machine tools. Very Nice! What model number Sieg you got there? Are you happy with it overall? Certainly looks like it! Thanks. It's an SC3 brushless model. Yep. I'm very happy with it. Enough size and power for my app...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???

Supposedly a new never used Futaba T2PL (has no signs of any wear whatsoever, so I believe it), 16x2 4WD Off-road Mega motor, and Speedworks Blueprint Series 25x1 "Dirt oval stock" red label.

How do you suppose to open the box?

I would ALWAYS use that for opening boxes, just because I could!
