Re: Mid Motor Rustler Build

I like what you did with the lowered topdeck. It's an idea I've often entertained but never went with because of lack of short standoffs, lot's of material needed and alots of cutting... making me respect your work all the more

Re: Mid Motor Rustler Build

Slowly but surely. Nice work rc10nick! Any plans for a CF front top plate and CF side rail braces? Since you ran out of wrong ways and can only have success now. It must feel nice to know what you're doing after all that trial and "error". Even your "bad" parts look good.

Re: Mid Motor Rustler Build

While I liked the g10 version a lot, I won't deny it looks way better now.

Re: Mid Motor Rustler Build

Wow. Pretty sweet. I have a set of delrin arms that I traded a dude for some stuff. They are supposedly for the TRX-1. I've never mounted them but they are certainly more "rustic" than those ones you rustled up there. Them 'r nice.

Re: Mid motor Bandit project

Looks good! That material sounds interesting.

The nitro stampede/rustler/slash trans and rear bulkhead are good candidate as well. Really the only drawback to the nitro trannys is that you can’t fit the modern slipper directly.

Re: Mid Motor Rustler - V2

Impressive work! MX Acres on youtube right not is proving a regular old Bandit can compete so this version you should have an IFMAR contender :D

Re: Mid Motor Rustler - V2

I've been working on a mid motor bandit as a kit bash with a nitro rustler transmission. I would much rather have a transmission that uses the stock bandit gears. Are the internals of the trans all stock traxxas parts? Great work BTW i loves the V1 thread so ill be checking in here too.

Re: nitro rustler to bandit mid kit bash

It's getting closer. Have a lot of details left but its basically assembled. mostly parts I had laying around. The protech 2 body seemed to fit the best.

Frankenshorty RC10 buggies - #1: USWB Race Replica

I've got a couple of Comical RC10 buggies to build. I'm starting out with the shorty Masami style build.

Re: Frankenshorty RC10 buggies

Need to get a few more parts before progressing further. E-clips, ball studs, turnbuckles, etc.

Re: Frankenshorty RC10 buggies

I was planning on doing a Stealth gearbox, but I'm low on those and strangely enough have a couple of Thorp 48p setups sitting around. So a Thorp 6 gear it is. . PXL_20230908_174926961~2.jpg . This gearbox also had a used set of titanium nitride coated diff rings. The diff seems pretty smooth after ...
