Re: Vintage RC Parts- Intro & Info

I've known Todd since about 1994. We're on about a 15 year break from racing with each other, but I'm sure he's still the good guy I used to race with. (and the 15 year streak will hopefully be ending in the next week)

Re: What to do with old Nicad chargers?

I took all the guts out of an old AE 12v 15 min charger, and plan to replace them with the guts of a cheap lipo charger someday. Mostly just so I can take it to the track and watch people get really nervous when I hook it up.

Re: Graphite rc10gt

Those are cool! Id like to find that chassis for my gt buggy conversion It may end up being for sale once I find a decent replacement tub .building a sprint or dirt oval car on it is honestly something Id rather not do . Sounds good. I have a decent blue pan (the later, thicker, flatter GT chassis)...

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - October 2018 ** - Winner - scr8p

I has all period-correct running gear in it, it could actually run probably would it not be for that insanely-narrow-windowed-front-diff which is either in slip or in locked mode, nothing in between. Which is a good pretext for me NOT to run this rare piece of RC goodness, really  You'll b...

Re: Bruiser wheel fitment ?

If reasonably priced aluminum wheels are an option, this is what I got for my bruiser-ish truck. Most crawler wheels are much narrower than a bruiser type wheel, but these are about the same.

Re: Turbo Optima 2019 re-release in “boring” box art colors

Wow, that looks really nice! Bigger tire spikes would look more at home, but those aren't too bad.

Re: Motor voltage not reaching 7.2V. Vintage setup. Car slow.

It sounds to me like the RC10 is putting an additional electrical load on the system, causing the voltage drop. This could be because of the motor itself (fewer turns, binding, brush/winding issue - try a different motor to test) or it could be mechanical (driveline load - remove the motor pinion to...

Re: RC10 GT ftont and rear on gold pan?

There's a guy here selling an RC10GT front and rear (but nothing else). The front end looks complete, mounted on front plate and including steering, suspension, shocks, shock towers and wheels, etc. The rear includes suspension, shocks, stealth transmission, wheels, etc, but shock tower seems stran...
