Re: RC10 Classic 40th anniversary

I can tell you exactly how that ends.

Buy 40th kit

Buy all the Fan parts and trans

Assemble

Realize you have 60% of a car leftover

Order the parts to finish that one

Re: My first RC10T. But, what is it?

Shouldn't see much, but different caster blocks do vary the amount or need for washers under the ball studs. As a rule of thumb, try to get the steering rods parallel with the suspension arms and you should see little to no bump steer

Re: Are we ready to add an RC10T ReRe section?

From what I saw while it was up...
3 piece wheels, narrow fronts... So it's a 7001 original truck 8)
Gold shocks and bushings... So it's a 7011 sport truck
Rc10t logo on chassis like the 40th kit

Re: My first RC10T. But, what is it?

the 10T for some unknown reason had the servo mounted to the opposite side of the chassis which meant there were no servo holes. I think the sport truck still came with servo mounts as the MSC used them. Not sure why they didnt use the holes and flip the bellcrank I hadnt noticed those arms, interes...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???

Behold.... and now the Blue Eagle LS-II. Already having a Blue Eagle LS and SRT, I was done with a Traxxas collection, but this was just far too good of a deal to pass up. It's simply fantastic, and at a price just over what heaping piles go for, which makes me like even more. Had that in my cart a...

Re: Are we ready to add an RC10T ReRe section?

Thanks for the heads up, just nabbed one to be safe. I'll get a backup from amain when they list em. I have some trust issues with AE fulfillment after seeing some friends get hosed on the CC and 40th kits

Re: Are we ready to add an RC10T ReRe section?

Question for the experts: Which "version" are they re-releasing? Was there an original version with gold shocks and bushings? The XX chased away all of the AE buggies where I raced bitd, but there were always quite a few 10Ts racing. I don't recall seeing this combination. It's very cool ...

Re: RC10 - A Stamp Rebuild - Chipped Idler Gear

In 2013 I built up a completely stock rere trans and didn't touch the gears. This was assembled with the stock bushings not bearings. When under load bushings are far less efficient but as far as the spin test went, it was miles ahead of the original 6 gears. for some reason the link isnt working, h...

Re: RC10 - A Stamp Rebuild - Chipped Idler Gear

yeah the youtube embedding isnt working, i edited with an external link. Not much to see, but you can tell its smooth and thats what is important. Oiled bearings vs greased will make a HUGE difference. We are running chinese $1 a pop bearings these days vs the $80 high end NMB bearings sets back in ...

Re: The RC Corvette in - (1988) The Dead Pool - Clint Eastwood

I wonder if they would have used their own #6192 chrome knockoffs
