Re: Brimod Prototype Car

Although I have zero experience with Brimod, and my only knowledge of the company comes from your posts, this is a very cool car. Its great to see it restored with such care. I'm looking forward to the finished result!

Re: the answer is: Marui Hunter (resto)

I love the Challenger 260 radio. It was the best I could afford bitd. I have several now that I still use in a few vintage runners, and now that everyone else uses 2.4, I rarely get any interference. They really lack many of the electronic adjustments that we're accustomed to now, though. Lovin' the...

Re: new (to me) monster clodbuster

www.clodtalk.com has loads of discussion topics about motors and electronics. The simplest, and cheapest, option is to run the stock silver can motors with an ESC that's capable of handling a 3s lipo, and run a 3s. That extra 3.7V makes a huge difference, and those motors will last a good while even...

Re: My XXT race truck is restored !

Oh, those are cool! I really like your paint schemes and the pan servo idea. The green Race Prep plugs are the icing on the cake! What FPV set up do you use?

Re: Hyperdrive H10 super glue special

 I agree with the above statements: great job in extracting that tiny screw tip! Each and every broken screw extraction is a win for mankind. This particular one, with no damage to the surrounding material, is an inspiration! Keep up the good work!

Re: Subaru Impreza rally car build

I'm a little envious. I've never owned a Subaru but I've admired them since the Brat was introduced back in the '80's. You're probably gonna be a bit disappointed with the finished rally car as it is just box art. Don't be too envious. Its a fun car, don't get me wrong, but it doesn't bring all the...

Re: Tech help and advice on older RC10

To use a brushless motor, you will need an ESC also. There are many options to choose from, but for bashing and non-race fun, you won't need to go high dollar. You can get some descent motor and ESC combo sets on eBay for pretty cheap (~$40). Check out this thread for some info: https://www.rc10talk...

The A-3081 is the buggy dogbone. There is a manual for the XX retrofit transmission at Vintage Losi here: http://www.vintagelosi.com/Instructions_files/RetrofitXX.pdf.
