Re: MRP Drag'n Master
It may be easier to just make a chassis from sheet metal. Just a few straight line cuts, drill some holes and a couple bends and you're done. Just a thought...

Re: Another quarantine inspired XXT
Looking good! If you were not already aware, Team Blue Groove makes a XXT reproduction body: https://www.ebay.com/c/1400474135. I understand not wanting to use the clear shell you already have, and I know the PITA-ness of stripping old bodies. So I just wanted to throw that out there. Keep up the go...

Re: Another quarantine inspired XXT
Great job on the body! I tried to warn you. As for the front hex conversion, I found this a while back: https://www.rctech.net/forum/electric-off-road/553947-losi-xxx-sct-scb-front-hex-conversion-traxxas-parts.html, but haven't had a chance to try it out. I know its for the XXX line, but like ...

Losi 40th Anniversary History
Anyone else watch these?
There are several interviews and lots of history. There are several "episodes" with hopefully more to come, soon. I found it fascinating.

Re: Losi XX Kinwald Trinity build
As I seem to say with all your builds, fantastic work! The bulkhead appears to match well in the photos, but I'm sure its different IRL. If you remove the blue bulkhead, what will you do with it then? I'd hate to see it demoted from a beautiful build to storage.

Re: Losi XX4 Rebuild
I've never seen a Trinity motor mount for a XX4 in person, so please pardon my lack of knowledge, but whats the threaded hole in the top of it for? Another beauty, BTW!
Edit: Found the answer: It's for an optional locking set screw. Should have known...

Re: What spring tension or brush hardness should I use for older motors?
The harder the brush material, and the stiffer the spring, the faster the motor should run, but the commutator will wear out faster. Softer brushes and springs will prolong the commutator life at the sacrifice of performance. *Most 540 sized RC motors, that allow brush replacement, will use the same...
