As for the bodyshell, Ive always been convinced it was a copy of the AYK shell, just modified to carry the rear body posts.
I actually thought the same thing, and for the most part it is. BUT, one of them is shorter than the other. I want to say...
Have picked up a brand spanking new set of AYK tyres. They are HI SPORT logo tyres with a 'V' pattern with sharp spikes. Does anybody know which buggy these were off? They look like 2.0inch also.
Thank you- Jason.

Very interesting front shock setup. Actually looks like it's great for the CG.
I own of these gems and I can tell you it's heavy as hell and the CG was obviously not a concern when they designed it. It's a lovely and very original car, I will try...
Found this on yahoo auctions a while ago but forgot to post it.
Engines are not my thing, but I don't think anybody posted an ayk with engine in the forum before, so here it is:

It actually is a little bit of a mismatch of parts, but for this build I didn't want to put back on the standard rims. I just happen to have nib Assault rims and they fit perfect. I like the look of the front five spoke wheel. I just transferred...

Hi Tony. I have both front towers but I find the shocks dont have quite enough droop in the front for my liking so after removing the boost tower and fitting the Radiant front tower Ive found that the front end has what i need.
As for the shaft, I...
Back in the late 1980's I got the chance to see one of these cars run at my home club of B.O.R.M.A.C. The car was fast and looked extremely cool tearing around our dirt track. In later years coming across images over the net I have grown fond of...

Fantastic buggy. You don't see these around very often if at all. Looks Sweet.
Well, this is coming to me from an ebay win... A little pricey, but I have been searching for a while with no luck, and the ones I had been watching went for a lot of bread.
Shipping was a little high too, but he issued me a refund for the...

I'd like mount 2.2 wheels on my Sidewinder but I don't know wheich wheels to buy. It has exactly the same axles as the bobcat/buffalo/boxer. Axles are 4mm I think.
Anyone did that before?
Thanks for any help...

I used Trinity JRX2 wheels on the rear and stock narrow Lazer zx wheels up front. Had to hog out the hole to accept the Radiant one way hub up front. We also fashioned Yokomo hubs to work as well. Had to modify rear axle with a flat spot to accept...
So... last weekend I ran across a box of AYK 4WD Viper chassis I had put aside for future restorations... forgot all about them... found them... then decided to restore both of them at the same time. Those of you familiar with AYK know the value of...

what if i made a plaster mould of the body would someone be able to use that to make a mould out of a more suitable material
Making a plaster mould would just be more expensive to send, and more fragile than the original body.
I've just won the following ancestor. Was is it called differently in Europe than in the USA/Japan? From the pics, body has Boxer decals and so does indicate the manual :?:
Cheers guys :!:
