Nice, I love those Cross upgrades. The Optima chassis in its stock form tends to push and understeer a little under acceleration, so hopefully your widened track will help it steer better. That's what I noticed when I made similar modifications to...

The fuel lubricates it so just dip it in some fuel when you put it back in. There might be a bearing in there so check that it hasn't come apart, and it may have a little check ball and spring in there as well so just make sure you don't lose that...

There are needle rollers that run against the slack side of the belt for each pulley. Apparently this prevents belt skipping, allowing for low belt tension and reduced overall rolling resistance.

It looks like you may have the rear suspension pin's mounted wrong , yours seems to be parallel to the grp plate , one of the pin mounts is taller than the other and this one goes on the outside so the pin is higher on the outside and lower toward...

The closest one you will find easily is for the Rampage buggy. There are small changes like shock mounting but for the most part it’s the exact same platform.

Yea, the most future proof upgrade would be swapping the whole transmission to RB5/RB6 rear motor transmission. But for that you need RB5 main chassis and RB5/RT5 rear chassis plate and the whole RB5 transmission.

I was referring to the diameter of the rods. Mine were 2mm. Most commonly available ends are made to me used with 4-40 and 3mm rods.

And the original ends aren't tapped. They are just drilled a little undersized and the rods cut new threads when...

I personally wouldn't go as stout as a 10.5T motor for a vintage Optima, without a good bit of bulletproofing, and definitely not the chain drive. The chain stretches. I assume the Beagle uses a chain and not a belt? Also, the Beagle parts, though...

Yep, all cut and filed, took a while and i appreciate how tough the carbon is, went through a few files.
I scanned the parts first on a high resolution scanner, then printed off copies to use as templates.
Found a local performance car here in NZ...
