Bought this mint shelfer 10L from Ebay about a year ago. Does any one know who made the aluminium wheels that came on it? Thanks
Last post
Hi KidAgain, I got those measurements for you.
Front & rear wheels are both 1-7/8 diameter. Rear wheel width is almost the same, maybe a touch over 1-7/8 . Front wheel width is about 1 . Hope this helps!
I was told this was a hopped up TC 3 but now that I need a new out drive on the rear diff, nothing matches. The diff ring and mating out drive have double flats. The stock parts have a single flat and the diameter is a bit smaller so the fit in the...

Thanks, looks like a pain in the tail to find parts for. From reading, the out drives were a weak link. Cant seem to find much out there part wise for them. Sounds like I will part out the chassis and she will be dead in the water till a tc3 or 4...
I'm trying to fix my old rc10 nds. It was the first car I built 15 years ago.I cannot find a CV axle or even a dog bone for it.
Last post
These are hard to find. I'd gladly pay $35 for a pair. If you're open to other options, I believe an RS4 cvd dogbone, associated CVD axle, and AE B4 hub with a drilled out hinge pin will work, but be like 10mm wider. I'm going from memory on the...
Does anyone have the pdf or even scan of it?I have never seen it? Or have it saved. I have seen links but have not found it and Idk how the archive websites work.
If not anyone err know details were in it?

Thanks Lobonyc from what I'm reading I found everyone 1/8 inch bit .I'm gonna measure this week and get a reamer not a drill bit.i bought them already gonna put my nds together with these.
Has anybody ever come across an SRM Stunner 35T 1/12 motor by any chance? It was presumably Race Prep based as per the other motors in the SRM range. I only have one poor quality black and white photograph of one so far from a mid-1987 mag article....

Still looking for a Stunner (aren't we all? ) if anybody can help to complete my SRM set?
This is my first post of my cars. Picked up a RC12R5.2 on trademe which is the local site like eBay here in NZ.
Started a mold for a McLaren M8 that I’ve been thinking of making for a while and will machine up some aluminium wheels to complete the...

A little more work on the mold. Pretty happy with the proportions now to start filling in so it will vacuum form. Hopefully can do this without losing too much of the M8’s iconic lines!
Can anyone list the shock lengths of built RC10DS shocks in CM or inches? From center mounting to center mounting point. I'm looking to work on a project and I'm not 100% sure I'll go the actual DS shocks route.
0BCBCBCF-5E9B-4218-8AF5-8268C1489CC9.jpeg My brother gave me this RC12i a few years back and have finally cleaned it up, peroxided the nylon parts and sourced new tires. The wheels were damaged from racing so machined the edges and dyed them black...
A few month ago I've had the chance to be the only bidder on this:
i always really appreciate and been inspired by DS builds on this forum

Hello,
Here's my new project, a Team Associated RC10L Basic Fiberglass Kit #8001
I bought this new incomplete kit several years ago. I think I have all the parts now to build it.

I had a wide 10L fiberglass way back ... I think I probably had a Slot-Machine era motor... standard ROAR 91(?) fixed timing stand-up brush end-bell. I actually think I may have had a Warlock or S&K in there when I was racing on the asphalt.
:D Hi Everyone. Here is a thread on a project i started in December 2017. During the holidays I found a RC10 mid engine buggy conversion. Mind you, im not a buggy guy. It was a nice, clean and simple design with a few custom parts like the chassis....

Vary nice job,I really like the pantera body.
Thanks, it was the appropriate body for a mid-engine car
Holy Mother of Space Goats, Batman!!! That turned out awesome!
Nicely done!
HAHAHA Thanks...this was a cool project outcome i think....
In Fed of 2017 I was given a RC10DS and asked to bring it back to life by a buddy of mine. No deadline, no rush....as payment i received an 1:8 scale Ofna buggy with pull start Hyper .21 engine and servos (no radio). The deal was...

Very nice, great body fitment. It's gonna look awesome when painted. 8)
Thanks!!!
Would you believe Im rebuilding another DS in this similar style?
I got it years ago, the only thing I did was slap a mustang body on it and ran it as is.
After a long stint away from the rc car hobby, I got the itch to relive a little of my past, and so I started looking an RC12e as it was the first race car that I had back in 1983, and was what started the rc racing bug for me. While digging around...

Wow, I agree with Mike. Nice job Chuck!! They almost look to nice to cover with a body.
So, I haven't really been interested in pan cars since getting back into RC a few years ago. When I was reading through the 1/8 build of V12's that's going on now something came up about a timeline of all their cars on AE's website. I remembered...

Thanks. I really need to finish this off, but I've got too many projects right now.
Brian, why didnt you tell me you needed a brown box? Got one, probably those connectors too, I'll look. Shoot me a list of what you need.
Another side project resto recently aquired for a whopping 30 bucks on flea bay! Came with all the goodies and a basher body. Like I really needed another pan car, but for some reason this one called out to me saying help me please ! I wasn't...

Thanks! - the LSO has been a fun project so far. The lipo will certainly breathe some new life into it!
One of many projects that is finally finished. This was my old 12LW carpet racer from the early 90s. A long time ago, the car lost the main shock and was shelved up until recently. It took a while to finish due to the missing shock. Thanks to fellow...

Beautiful car! All the right parts right down to the vintage cells. Love that body too. Nice job!
Like I really need to start another project. Anyway this will be an RC12E with the Greenwood Corvette body from TBG. This will have period correct electronics and it will be fully functional like all my cars so far. It will be a resistor...
My name’s Rufuss and I’ve been an addict for thirty years or so. Haha
I ran across this ol’gal a while back... I purchased it from an elderly gentleman that had been building and racing rc boats since the early 70’s. Anyhow... he couldn’t remember...
I got my eBay gloves on yesterday and beat out some guys (21 bids) for a 12L3 for $65.01! from all the pics it looks like it's in fairly good condition. I hope, in this case, that pictures don't lie. I have my heart set on a Porsche 930 Lemans body...

Hey ChuckW. This was my first time building a 12th scale. Though I consider myself pretty handy with a Dremel tool, I do have an old Taig brand micro lathe.
New member here and first meaningful post...I think.
Does anyone know what the resistance is on a stock 12i/e speed resistor should be? I've tried testing and old one with a volt/ohm meter and can't seem to be able to figure it out. I'm...
My daughter came home from Eugene for her birthday this weekend and brought me a nice little box of tidbits she picked up for me. Looks to be all 12L. Not a junker in the bunch. Every wheel in here was better than any I already owned. The Red wheels...

Red wheels are Delta. White wheels are TRC, made by Delta. Black front wheels are TRC ZR-1. Nice!
Not sure what year it is, has to be late 80's/early 90's. It's beat up and the chassis is cracking, but I still have it, LOL Team CRC wheels and tires are about 10 years old. Everything else is early 90's electronics. I never really got into the...

That's a bad crack in the front...you must hit the curb straight on.
You've actually got a narrow 10L SS from around 1990-92. Replacement chassis aren't hard to find and you could even upgrade to graphite/carbon fiber. Plenty of after market...
A while back i purchased a Tamiya Martini Porsche 911 body kit and put it away for a future build. I decided to finally start the build a few days before Christmas. The donor parts came from a crashed carbon chassis mustang DS car i had laying...

Hey there Mr DS_King! I have Tamiya Porsche 934 Turbo RSR Vaillant-Kremer body and would love to use it on a DS but I have several questions for you:

So I've had this idea of building a insane speed run car for a while.

I will not missile this one into the barrier. It will have its place on the shelf next to the Kodak -10Lss.
I will take the opportunity to share the pic of the car the Bud won with back in 1991 at the Thunderdrome. Although not in...
Anyone knows of a US retailer that stocks the Ufra blue series tires in 1/10 scale? Been looking for a new set of shoes for my pan car restoration and these would really look sharp on it.
I have a decent pile of well used vehicles that I mostly pick up to use as part donors. Sometimes in these lots I find one that isn't all that bad, but will never be shelf quality, at least not without replacing a lot of the parts. So I strip them...

I don't know any specifics on the tires. As much of my gear, they came to me in a large lot of items. New, but not in a package of any kind to help id them.
Gotcha, I was just curious as I loved the TRC capped tires back in the day. Quick Google...
I got a box of cars in an auction today, and this one was tossed in. Im assuming a 10L graphite? Never got into the pan cars like this. Is this like a mid 90's chassis? Thought it might be fun for the kids to bash around on the taxi ways. Unless it...

I've been wanting a 12L for a while. Everytime I come across one it's just thrashed so I've been collecting NIP parts and waiting until I had everything. The wait is over! :D I finally got a car that was a good candidate for resto and with all the...

Excellent job!
I remember our RC300 kit came with parts for tincan fueltank that arrived in 2 halves needing to be soldered/brazed together.
I open a new sealed kit, (DS Qualifier) and would love to show you guys pictures of a finished car. But the kit came with the wrong chassis, a black A stamped six gear. Was this poor quality control? :?
I'm think about finishing it with a six gear...
I have had this RC10L for awhile and finally decided to clean it up and paint a body for it . The car was missing a few parts so I added a Dynamic Strut front suspension and Jaco wheels to complete it . The body is a Proto Form P905B 235mm body . I...
