Thinking about getting one of these. My question is are there any vintage looking bodies out there for it. They were running these at larry's RC the last time I was there.

Putting an old 1/12 body on a new 1/12 is like driving around with a shoebox on your car compared to todays ultra low profile bodies.
I agree with you . And will get a lowpro body for it . I just like the old school bodies that came with the early...
Built both of these up from new parts - side by side at the same time......one of my fondest builds to be honest!
ALL parts including screws etc are correct and from unopened bags.
Note the height difference (because of the...

any update on the 12e guys? would love to see some rare 12i's too
I have a couple of posts in the on-road section including my weightsaver 12e, here is a link to one of my 12i monoshock cars.
New to the forum but I've been around r/c cars since teh late 80s. I have a few newer models but a carpet track opened up near me so I had to have something vintage so why not a rc10l.
Here's she is, however I put new tires/wheels on it, and...

Just a friendly reply, if you want to swap your front axles to clip - less and use a nut to secure them, Bolink has some axles made for that purpose, and you don't have to worry about losing e-clips. Also if you need axles, diff rings etc. Niftech...
I went out to the track to do some testing on my VONATS buggy tonight, I picked this car up from the track owner. He's got a bunch of old cars in his shop, the common thread of them all is they are all dirty.
This one has some interesting parts on...

Thanks for the info. :)
I'm not very keen on doing the conversion thing. I guess I am too picky, but for now I will just keep my eyes open.
Hello I just wantd to ask if anyone had this kit or have pics of it built. I don't plan on building it yet. Just wanted to know if anyone has seen it before? If so how was the performance and looks? Thanks in advance...

I found this on eBay and was really excited as I had been looking for a nice 1/8 scale car for a while, someday I'll get a RC500 but for now this will have to do. It was posted a whole 15 min. when I saw it and I knew it was the right thing to start...

Hey that's cool thanks for that...I didn't win your wing by the way..
Yep, Doug ended up getting it, he told me a long time ago that he wanted it. So it's going to a good home.

oh its gonna get beat on, on a regular basis :D but i also would like it to look nice as id like to use it to show off my work and possibly use it as a prototype. i want to make this just like the fullsize protouring or prostreet cars im thinking it...
I have an RC 300. Since I couldn't find any 1/8th scale tires, I found that 1/10 scale truck foam donuts work for the rears and 1/10 scale rear pan car foams work for the fronts. True, they don't wear real well but they sure do hook up well.
They re-paved my road which is a cream dream. I'm pretty far out so it was basically one step above gravel before. They did such a good job I just had to by an on-road car. I always say there is no such thing as a good bid on ebay after...

If you look on the bottom they have a TC3 chassis.

Yep, the #8815 NDS tub is shorter than the #7525 GT tub.
I've been wrong plenty of times before, I'm not at all suprised I was wrong again. :D
I know...I know, it's not vintage, but it is on-road! The 12L4 I snagged on ebay, is now ready to tear up the road...err appartment complex tennis court in my case. After getting the funds together and waiting for my saddle pack to arrive...
Hey guys, I picked this car up at the Hobby shop for $40. It came with a busted body, a Nice Tekin Speed control, Futaba Servo and a junk battery, and a stock motor. The car is in really nice shape. I tore it down and dyed the nylon black, and put...

Sorry it is Blade racing that offers the older style of GTP bodies . The picture attached is 203mm wide and of the Porsche 962 I am not sure the width of the Jag, Toyota or the Peugoet. But you may be able to contact them.
I was brainstorming on some ideas for a future build and I was wondering if anyone has slammed a bug body on a RC10DS? I was thinking about getting into rock crawling, but I like building crap more  I cant get away with doing both, so I have a...

Hi guys, just presenting the only project I'm working on lately, I have had the DS chassis for a very long time and it was about time I find a nice body for it. Although there's a hint in the title I'll let you guys guess what model it is ...

I would love to run it smoothly, but since the tub is new as well as tires, rims and other parts, not even mentionning the body and the very fragile two speed set up, I think it will stay on the shelf. I'm more an off-rod nuts anyway
how old is this chassis and also is it uncommon or are there alot of these floating around. im not worryed about the value/how rare etc just curious if many are around. i have a chance to purchase an rc10 and an rc10l with a composite craft chassis....

Hey did you get the radio problem fixed if so what was the problem?
I have an old technacraft rear pod, and after posting in the RC10L porn thread about the rear diffuser, I am curious if this pod ever had a diffuser. I believe it to be for an RC12L, although it may be for an RC10L SS? If anyone has some info or...

Thanks, I guess I have to fab one, but thanks for the help and insight, I will post once the car is completed.
Just a project I currently have going that I thought I would share and also a question besides running the servo saver upside down for clearance of the tie-rods what other options would I have?

Thank you very much for that I will check into it and see what I can come up with, I was worried my choice of body would be impacted.

Thanks! But I would not have the heart to destroy one of your bodies
It is hard thing to nail it down to just one, I can think of two that really take the cake for me, the Group 5 BMW 3.5 CSL and the Porsche 917. Between those it is toss up, at least for me.

I want to (not) thank you for the pic of the Greenwood Corvette as it has (not) helped me in my want for a 1/8 scale car just to (not) show off one of those bodies. Hmmmm 10L parts on a lengthened and widened aluminum pan………………
Well, after seeing all the interest in on-road cars lately, I couldn't help myself. I got the RC-300 out and fired it up. For a 25-ish year old motor, it was pretty easy to start on the bump-box. I played with the needles quite a bit and got it to...

yeh i know just doing a little complaining. my question is why did associated do the box art with the all sport car an not produce the decals?
They probably deemed the licensing fees to expensive and decided not to pursue it any longer.

got this stuff in a lot. the oldest 12 scaler I have owned was a 12l3.
The niftech hub says it is for 12lw and revolver12, but it looks much different from the trinity packaged one which is for the revolver12, but has no holes to bolt a wheel on....

thats right early pancar didnt bolt the right diff side wheel the axle was longer and the nut came on the outsid of that wheel to hold it together.
I'm beating my head against the wall trying to figure this one out. On my RC12e, the old homemade looking servo saver that it came with was so brittle upon removing it, it broke. Trying to find original parts for a 30 year old car is kind of tough...
i didn't even remember any pics of this car being taken, but my wife was looking through a box of pictures and found this. i bought this tc3 shortly after it came out...... 99 or so, i really don't remember. i raced it for a year or so, then it just...

Well I never wanted to have anything other that a RC12i and I have a couple but somehow Gregg(Lowerydesigns) talked me into taking this RC12e and a 12L off his hands. The first picture is the way I got it and then I went a little berzerk and went...

It has the same front suspension and overall dimensions as my 10l3oval, but otherwise looks much different. The motor mount is much longer than the 10l3 I have, which would be nice for fitting big pinions for the oval.

I've got a set of those decals, I always liked Alan Kulwicki so I got them for sentimental reasons. Ya it was a tragedy, makes you relize how delicate life really is
Bet that blew their minds William. Glad to see you still can drive, all you have to do is conserve your machinery until near the end and then let it go all out. At least that's what I keep telling Dale Jr.

I found this site looking for info on a bunch of K2-X parts I saw in Japan.
The parts were for that spirit car; first release. Pretty original design of the early eighties
What frame is this.
It´s never used.
