Thank you for all the info and taking the time to explain it to me Joseph. I'm not 100% set on having him use the vintage one, but I have several, probably 6-8 rollers I got over the years when I saw a good deal. I have lots of back up parts as...
I'm sure you guys have seen these particular ESC's all over the 'net. I happen to have 2 of them. 120A v2.3 generic waterproof brushless ESC's. I can't for the life of me figure out how the hell to calibrate & reset these things! Unlike a bazillion...

Thank you so much for your post and taking the time to post it. I had one of the super el cheapo ESCs with no reset button. It did fairly well and my buddy had to have it to match his blue motor, i warned him about it being a no name brand ESC and...
Hello, I'm going to be using shorty packs in my vintage 10T's and am looking for a holder that will fit. Drilling the chassis is not ideal, but if that's what works, so be it. I'd rather drill the chassis than cut the bulkhead up. I've searched the...
Anyone know which connector I need to have this lighting kit powered by my receiver (and where to get one)? I think I need a female molex to Futaba female connector. I need to have it on the 3rd channel of my radio because it is just impossible to...

I used the TLU-01 on my M-06 VW Bus kit.
I also used the 3rd channel with an on/off switch for my Rx, to be able to turn the LED's off and on with the Tx.
I too found having to try and hook that all up to the 3rd channel on the Rx a hassle,...
Under what circumstances do you position a gyro forward on the servo or rear near the trans on a 2wd vehicle? Or center for that matter. Does it matter?

@gtv1 the car above is a converted GT that does speed runs. Line holding is an important feature for this application.
Got ya, hope you're going to fit a smaller battery. lol
I have a stock brushless setup for my truck and am looking to upgrade the motor to something with a little more power. Without checking the spec sheet, it seems to me the current motor is 3300kv unit. How far can you safely raise the power before...

I have just upgraded my B4 to a hobbywing Xr10 juststock esc and 13.5T motor. so far it seems really good for the money.
Hi folks, sorry if this is a noob question.
I have a B4 which I am now looking to upgrade to brushless. I used to race for about 15yrs but got out just when brushless was coming out, so I have very little knowledge of brushless setup.
Now I think I...

Would a 60a sensor ESC be sufficient for a 17.5t combo? No racing, just playing around with my kids.
The tire on my wheel is rotted and just fell off. It’s an Airtronics/Sanwa MT-4. Can any one recommend a high quality replacement? The foam is really rotted and hard.

I'm reading conflicting reports about whether the new motors require the old break in/run in methods or not?
Do they or don't they? And why?
Eg diffrent brush types or ?
Bonus points if you can tell me what the successful vintage racers do!...

Think your're both right. Measured some silvercans time ago and eta % was max with new (just broken in) brushes, max power was rising with increasing contact area - but decreased with full contact. My thought was it's the (perhaps) already burned...
The centering spring for the wheel on my transmitter let go this weekend. Trying to hold off on big purchases for a bit, so I thought I'd take a stab at opening this one and seeing if I can print what I need. Got all the screws out but it doesn't...

So, finally had my first battery mishap. No puffing before charging (hard case, so might have been internal pressure I didn't see), no unusual readings on the charger. I was on the other side of the room, and heard a loud popping noise when it blew...
Recently getting back into RC it's time to search for a decent soldering station specifically for my RC stuff. I have some but minimal experience and knowledge with soldering. What watt iron is ideal for r/c, solder type, etc? What do you use or...

I concur, mine also has done very well over the past few years. I had to buy some new solder tips but other than that, it's worked flawlessly.

Does anyone race with power hd servos? Their specs seem really good for the price. I was looking at a b4s since it runs sxr mode too. Not sure how they hold up though

I have a PowerHD servo doing steering duties in my Bruiser clone. Does a fine job moving the sticky mudders around, never had a single problem with it. The model number is HD9110MG.

Hi everyone - I have usually had Futaba radios through the years and was going to start upgrading my radios from the old 75 AM various magnums I have to the new 2.4 Futaba 3PV. It looks solid, but then I saw reviews on the Flysky fs-gt3c and the...

I have the predecessor, FlySky GT3B, and it's great for bashing around .......something you don't find in a lot of other lower-end radios. Being able to limit your servo travel is an essential feature for me.
I use one 2.4 Ghz Futaba transmitter for all of my cars. Last night I drove my Top Cat around my track and it was dead slow, like battery dumping slow. Changed to a fresh-off-the-charger battery- same result. Nothing apparently wrong with the car...
