If it matters to you, the specs are as follows...
The 427 motor is a 16X2 suited for 4WD with an RPM of 36,000.
The Dirt Oval motor is a 24X1 suited for 2WD Or 4WD with an RPM of 25,200.

If you check out new in the package 'Peak' motors, you'll see they give the company as Peak Performance on the back of the header cards. So they're one and the same.

As soon as I touch the wires to the motor it starts spinning at full speed. The battery is plugged in, switch on, and throttle is not being pulled. Am I just switching the motor and battery wires or is something else happening?

I have a new old Futaba T2PHKA radio that draws an impressive 230mA from 8x batteries.
The radio includes a socket on the rear that looks like it should be for plug in 12V. That doesn't seem to work.

I have got to add the CX-1 from KO Propo inside the 1987 winning 4WD Schumacher Cat buggy driven by Masami. Very modern and sleek design even by today's standards.
This Speed Gems Diamond 12x2 motor looks like it might have caught fire. I've had a couple of armatures with rough comms clean up nicely with some comm lathe resurfacing. This one will be interesting to find out how extensive the damage is.

Picked up this very clean motor recently which I'm certain isn't an actual Trinity Ex-Tech motor. From my understanding Ex-Tech motors had gray cans, gray Epic endbells (some possibly purple) and gold brush hoods.
