Re: 93 WCS poss ran at 93 Worlds UK? KO Decals added, page 1
Little update;
Added a couple of decals, the first is the 'Rajimagazine' sticker that runs down the R/H side of the shell, I got a couple of originals from mamadoesn'tletme (thanks Jose') but were too small - so I created an enlarged copy on Adobe Illustrator - which a mate was able to use to cut the lettering out on a vinyl cutter. The size is perhaps a little on the large side compared with the original decal - but I would like to replace it one day with a proper printed-on-clear vinyl sticker.
The second was a large pink KO Propo decal that appears on the underside of the rear wing... I only realised it existed following the posting of a scan from the UK based 'Model Cars Magazine' by CATS/Renays on the Tamiyaclub site - showing a rear low level shot revealing this decal.
I had the car out in the sun over the weekend - taking it along with me to a Japanese car show (seemed apt) that my local club was involved with putting on a display of R/C cars, so took the opportunity to take some pics to show off these new decals
& some gratuitous shots;

I'd say four screws - & the wheel hubs are 'natural' magnesium colourcrusaderlyf wrote:masami used two or four screws lock the wheel?it seens that adapter nut also in red?

Re: 93 WCS poss ran at 93 Worlds UK? KO Decals added, page 1
I recieved an email from Gary (Gazan over on Tamiyaclub), whom I originally brought this YZ-10. His message initially is regarding some more YZ-10 parts (Fastrax wheels & wheel dots) that had been donated to the Southend Model Car Club by the original owner of my 93WCS (Stuart Collard). Stuart had also previously donated the WCS to the Southend club to sell on & raise funds.
Anyway, this is the exert from Gary's e'mail that is particularly exciting!
'I also spoke to Stuart about the YZ10 and he said that Masami had actually run that chassis and then donated it to him as he was the top amateur! It was one of only a handful of hand finished prototype YZ10^s!'
I also recieved in the post on Christmas Eve, a green 'Reedy Modifieds' decal (thanks Reggie) that I have already applied to the wing... i'll have to get a picture up with this new addition!

Green Reedy decal added to wing
If indeed this was a car that Masami used.. it adds justification to my decision to make resemble the car he used to win the worlds back in 93'

Hahaha - yeah its not the biggest jump in progress, but I guess now any addition to this build will be small 'finishing' touches!jamin wrote:Never before has the forum been so excited about one new green stickerDerbyDan wrote:Green Reedy decal added to wing

Thanks for everyones complimentry comments, I think i've said it before; there are other 'replica' projects by forum members on here that more faithfull in terms of the chassis build - Reggie's own WCS & Kenooze's Kinwald RC10 spring to mind, I think I have been lucky in obtaining many of the correct decals, the orange wing & the red wheel dots, all of which add up to gaining the 'look' of Masami's original car.... with the shell on
